Since its conception in the early 19th century photography has changed rapidly and drastically, mirroring the technological changes which have progressed society. Once upon a time black & white photography and duotone images were a necessity, however then during the early 1930s colour photography became a reality. Black & White how is certainly not finished, even digital has failed to close the lid on the coffin. Black & white and duotone images alike are now considered an artistic style, an art form in the own right. No matter how hard technology tries, black & white will always retain something special.
