Welcome to this weeks volume of so we heard you liek emotes. This is the 26th volume in a weekly series aimed towards promoting emote and emoticonists from the dA community. It features emotes posted within the past week from both well known and new emoticonists, as well as featuring some other great emote projects and contests.
Featured Emoticons:
1.

One thing I love about `
brokenboulevards emotes is how useable they are in everyday conversations. :
dangnabbit: v2 is a brilliant remake of her first attempt and a great emoticon to be used on dAmn. The shading is excellent and the hand movements are well timed. The expressions also really enhance the emoticon, giving it a spot in this weeks featured section
2.

Everybody hold hands by ~
Shannara-Queen is a perfect example of a tard emoticon at its best. The movements are small but very effective and the expressions are just brilliant. Im generally not a fan of making tard emoticons myself, but I cant help but smile when I see one like this.
3.

Saying Eek a Spider is =
Nekooris first animated emoticon, I cant wait to see what they make next. The idea is nice and its well displayed throughout. The expressions used are brilliant, making this an all round excellent emoticon.
4.

Fooling me on my back by =
MenInASuitcase is a great emoticon to sum up the mischief earlier this week. Not only is the shading great, but the simple idea has been animated really well in a smooth and amusing manner. The shadow is also an excellent addition, making it the 4th featured emote this week
5.

I couldnt help but giggle when I saw Bad Magician by =
Sinister-Starfeesh. The idea is well thought out and the animation is brilliant. The goo emote has been created very well and its rather amusing when the blue emote ends up on its head. The transition between transformations is unusually but is really effect, making this another must see emoticon from this week.
Other great emoticons posted recently

Size limits
I am always open to answering any emote related questions people may have. In the past few days Ive had a number of people ask me about size restrictions, so I thought I would mention them here to answer any other people that may be wondering.

50x50 pixels This is the size that any avatar or plz account emoticon must be. If it is any smaller or any larger, it cant be used as a personal avatar. Avatars also hold the added restriction of a 15kb file size limit. Although this is a pain in most cases, there is a valid reason for it and you have to work around it. If you happen to make an avatar larger than this, the file size can be decreased by reducing frames or colours used.

100x100 pixels This is the size that a deviation must be under for use within the chat system dAmn. It can be of any dimensions under these limits, but one pixel later will cause it to be shown as [deviation: deviation name] rather than the image

150x150 This is the size limit for emote deviations to be shown without a preview. Similar to before, the canvas size can be of any different dimension and ratio under these upper limits and will shown as the deviation on the page

over 150x150 The current dA system means that a emoticon with a file size over 150x150 pixels requires a preview image. This is a small image used to show there is a deviation, but you must download the image to view it. You only have to go over the limit in one direction for this to apply, such that a 160x35 deviation would need a preview.
6 Months
This article marks 6 months since the series began and Im really amazed at how far it has come. I never expected I would be here 25 articles later, then again I didnt think I would be a GM by now so theres two surprises.
To celebrate, Ive gone through the last 25 articles and picked my personal favourite from each one. So enjoy browsing 25 weeks of emotes

Noticeboard
- A new emote related club was launched this week. *
TheTardClub is run by a number of members from our community and as the name suggests is a club for all tard loving deviants. I certainly suggest you wander by the club and check it out.
- An official contest for the emoticon gallery is currently being planned. As soon as everything has been set in place more details will be revealed.

- The red dot project hosted by =
davecheesefish ended earlier this week. Thank you to all that took part to help raise money for comic relief. The finished project can be seen
on this page- =
flashfrogs revamp contest finishes this week. Its your last chance to get an entry in, ad the chance to win a few features and subs. More details can be found
here- With the end of the month, ^
DeMaulwurfn posted a round up of all March Emote DDs. If you failed to see them all, you can check them out
in this article- Early this week was April fools day and as part of dAs joke, both DeMaulwurfn and I received ! (banned) symbols. This is just to confirm neither of us have been banned or have stepped down from the GM position.

- The number of DD suggestions I have received this week has been far better, but please keep it up!

- Ive been doing a spring clean of the emote gallery and found over 10000 deviations have been submitted to the emote gallery since Jan 1st

However, on the negative side, from 120 thumbs the average number of avatar miscats was about 20
