I had so much fun during Project Educates Vector Week I decided to extend the features to a weekly news article. Each article will feature great vector art from each sub category of the vector gallery on deviantART.
Hope you enjoy the show!
Vector Week Homework
"Homework" is a weekly vector challenge. Each week deviants are given a topic or word for inspiration. The deviant then takes the topic and creates a vector work out of it. The point of the project is to keep your artistic juices flowing. If you choose to participate your deviation will be featured with the current Vector Week Features article that is posted every Friday. The real prize will be to advance your skills as an artist. Are you ready for this weeks weeks assignment? Here goes...

Vector Week Features
Abstract:
Abstract Vector art is pretty hard to describe, because usually the piece is created from the artists minds eye. Nothing has to look like what it's supposed to in fact bending the form away from the norm is the point. Remember, as free and as open as this style can be you still must use a vector based program to create your works. No raster images may be used in the piece, this is vector after all and all the regular vector rules still apply.

Animals:
Animal art depicts just as the name implies, art where the main subject is an animal. Vector art consisting of cats or dogs, reptiles or bird, mammals or cold blooded creatures are all welcome in this category. Only animals created in true vector fashion are allowed.

Misc.:
Vector Art in this section are works that cannot rightly be placed in any of the other subcategories: Abstract, Animals, Objects, People, Scenes or Vehicles. These works may very so please use your discretion when placing images in this gallery. If your image does not match any of the aforementioned categories then chances are it belongs here.

Objects:
Think of this category as "still life". Still life is a work of art depicting inanimate subject matter either natural (food, plants and natural substances like rocks) or man-made (drinking glasses, shoes, pens and so on) in an artificial setting. The focus is on the vectored object itself, not it's surroundings.
People:
Vector art depicting people in general is what this is all about. Portrait work, full body, closeups of any age or size are welcomed. This is the most common form a vector artist will choose to express themselves.

Scenes:
A scene is the environment all around us, either fictional or factual. Traditionally, landscape art depicts the surface of the earth but there are other sorts of landscapes such as the interior of a bedroom or even a moonscape. A scene is as much a part of the action as the inhabitants of that scene.

Vehicles:
Whether it be made for land, sea, air or space, if it's Vector art depicting Vehicles it belongs here.

Do you have some suggestions? Sent me a note!
