DA and game makers:

For years now people have been making there own original games, Fan game, pet-sites and adoptables. This is a great way to get in to game making and website building. Now were there are susses in the above fields there will be people who dream of making there own. There will be people who are serous and follow the right steps to achieve susses. Yet there will be those whom go about it in the wrong ways.



Recruitment and Spam:

On to my main issue is people who start making games and think it's ok to make a account here just for recruitment of artist. deviantArt is a place for artist to showcase there hard work and share it with other artist in hope to make new friends, be inspired, learning and to improve over time. This website is not for your horrible edit of a Riley back sprite(pokemon)that you awkwardly copied and pasted a backpack from another sprite on to. This website is also not a recruitment center for user games. There are hundreds of sites made solely for hiring, discussions on and tips for making games. Some game makers go around DA and find people who they think are good and do one of two things: Post on there profile or send them a note. Here is the problem after a while people get sick of users asking them to work on there game/site. Now this is not like a Game Development forums artist here may not be interested in working on games or even have the time. Take the most well known fakemon or petsite artists and you know there being asked by tons of user for help. I my self have no problem with people nicely asking for help but when you get 160 note or massages from people I can see why it would be annoying. Take a certain artist whom will not be named who after asking for help and being turned down became very ignorant with the artist. He goes on to say he could care less about the artist busy personal life. This is no way to treat a person who you are asking to take time out of there life to do free work for you. People who at like immature children only give real game makers a bad name.


To Game makers who Need help:

Artist are people who take time out of there lives to help you for free

If you need help with your game then conciser the following:

.Artists are doing this work for free.

.Artists have real live and jobs.

.Artists may already be working on projects.

.Be patient!, Do not rush your artist.

.Learn to respect your artist.

.If a artist say no or has to quit then respect there choice.

.Don't expect others to do the bulk of the work for you. It's your project and as such you should share in the work.
