Hello Musik-fans! (:
Right, to take a break from the ‘elements’ news series I’ve been spitting out, I decided to do something music-related, since music is kinda my life, and probably a lot of yours as well.
To begin with, I decided to collate twenty of the bands/artists that I listen to (to think, I was going to do five at first!) and crawled through dA for pieces related to these music artists. After realising how much space one such article would take up, I've decided to continue it over two articles, and do ten bands in each (: After each artist, I have chosen a favourite, or two or three At the end of both articles, I will choose my overall favourites (:

I started with just pictures of bands, but then I realised that that was kind of silly, because it’s way more than the bands and their members, or the singers. Music is inspirational, so it seemed only fitting that I should include pieces that were inspired by said bands/artists.

I love all of the musicians here – and way more actually – but to give a more wide variety, I decided to choose some from each genre – as best as I could anyway. If I hadn’t, this would have been a big alternative-rock-fest, and as brill as that sounds, it wouldn’t appeal to as many people. (:
This was actually really fun to do, not just because I love all these artists, but because there were so many amazing pieces. I started out faving mostly drawings, because I was in a drawing-mood. And wow, you guys can draw. Made me a little jealous actually!
Every single one of these pieces has less than 100 faves (some don’t even have double digits, which I frankly don’t understand) but they’d better be flooded with faves when you’re done reading this!

So without further ado, I give you MUSIK!

Paramore have quite recently become my favourite band and Hayley Williams my idol. So it made sense to look for them on dA (:
As you’d expect with any band, most of the pictures are of Hayley, as she is the lead singer, but I found many good ones of the whole band too!



All of these pictures were absolutely beautiful, especially the drawings!
My favourite absolutely had to be and because they're incredibly powerful and you can almost hear her! It’s very easy to capture a singer mid-note, but to make it look beautiful is something else. What tends to happen is the person looks awkward, or with a mouth the size of the channel tunnel. :L So heads up to ~Sarusky and ~kurokatana!

It wasn’t too difficult to choose Muse for one of the categories. I don’t even need to explain why – these people were born complete with instruments, and in the case of Matt, the voice of some out-of-this-world angel.

Once upon a time, I was a die-hard Evanescence fan. And, although I have since moved on (not that I still don’t love them) I thought it was sorta…my duty to put them here :L
Again as you'd expect, most are of Amy Lee *sigh.*


was simply amazing. I really don't understand - why this isn't more loved?!

The Plain White Ts – wow they annoyed the hell out of me when Hey There Delilah overOVERplayed. But a friend – who was also similarly annoyed – recommended them to me anyway, saying that their other stuff was pretty good. And, although it was quite predictable, I liked it. Made for easy listening (: See, I’m easily pleased xD



My favourite has to be because it must have been bloody hard to take a picture of someone in the crowd while you're in the crowd yourself! And also because it kind of suggests to me that although you are amongst so many fans, every person has their own story and their own life.
Made me laugh hehe
However simply left me speechless. I swear.

There’s been a little bit of variation genre-wise so far, but I decided to add Michael Bublé to turn things around more (:
I wouldn’t say I’m obsessed with him, but he’s very lovely!



I have to say this was my favourite because a lot of detail is shown in such a subtle way.

The Kooks are another band I decided to include to add variety to genre. I was surprised at the number of epic photos under this one – epic, and way WAY underappreciated!
Change that, guys. Appreciate these!



I loved , the colours, and the way he's bathed in light - he looks almost angelic!
(Sure we all know the reality xD)

KT Tunstall is an artist I admire a lot, and she’s from Fife! (Correct me if I’m wrong) I simply had to add her because she’s beautiful and I wanted to see what people could do with her, and her music.



I liked how different was. The colours, and the sharpness of the picture are really amazing too!

Foals aren’t actually a band I am into per se. I actually asked my sister for some of her music, and, well, they’re interesting to be frank.

Madina Lake - I can't even remember who showed me this band, but I owe them quite a bit. I never knew the idea behind the band, as in the story of Adalia and etc. How annoying to have to wait for the last album now :L



This has to be my fave No words for this.

Before Twilight became incredibly famous and (probably) overrated, I was surfing YouTube one night, looking for things related to the movie, wondering what it’d be. I don’t know how the hell I landed on Switchfoot, because none of their tracks were in the movie (which is probably just as well) but I’m so glad I did, because I discovered a band with substance. A band that writes songs about real life, and not just girls and sex. Twas love at first höre (hören means to listen). xD So here they are, Switchfoot!
