King-Rastel’s 9th Top Ten Picks

=King-Rastel:iconKing-Rastel: reports, April 14
Welcome to the my ninth top ten feature. We have a good turn out however only ten shall reach the title of top ten picks and receive a promotional critique but the runners up will still get featured. Everyone please give these people your love, comments or favorites.

In addition, this feature I asked everyone what they thought about the rate of advancement in data storage or the rate in technology in general. Half seemed to know nothing about the subject and the other half seem to feel that the exponential rate of technologic advance is mind blowing.

King-Rastel’s Top Ten:
The top ten selected are in no particular order and does not signify that anyone is better than another because art is often subjective and all art has worth.

beauty and the beast by ~mysticbubblesz :iconmysticbubblesz:
This wonderful shot is like something out of a dark fairy tale that bring to one’s imagination of dark adult versions of Red Riding Hood or Snow White. The photographer also made great use of focus to bring our attention to the subject of the piece.

Red Coastline. by =LoveJezabel :iconlovejezabel:
One could easily imagine seeing a seen like this in a game like Myst or Riven. Although I know that this is a real place it feels like it is from a different world that is unlike to our but still similar. It makes one want to explore and then try to figure out how to get home. The clarity, contrast and color of this shot is just pure win.

To Sprout by *ladylionink :iconladylionink:
Anyone could easily imagine seeing this piece as an illustration for a fairy tale book. It is a beautiful composition that is well balanced and well rendered.

Jake by =Goodbye-to-you :icongoodbye-to-you:
What is not to love about this edgy and nervous composition with it’s fish eye foreshortening and it’s professional level of rendering.

We Forget, For A Moment by ~JPIshiro :iconjpishiro:
How can anyone not like this energetic piece with it’s golden colors and excellent contrast. It makes one want to go running on the beach with friend and to celebrate life.

Melting the Ice Queen by ~Halfling :iconhalfling: Beautiful, seductive, enchanting and even slightly disturbing it produces a moment of awe in the viewer that drives the imagination wild.

Death just wants to have fun by ~x0cutiepie0x :iconx0cutiepie0x:
One gets the sense of a twisted nightmare in which one cannot escape the clutches of one who wish to toy with our lives. This is an awesome surreal manipulation and reminds me of a dark wonderland.

When dreams become nightmares by ~theVINTAGEcircus :iconthevintagecircus:
This twisted nightmare could easily be imagined of actually happening to some child somewhere which makes it even more real and added to the fact we can easily connect with the feeling of despair and hopelessness.

Fish Splash by ~aiyoshi :iconaiyoshi:
Energetic, fun, bright and colorful this piece can easily bring a smile to anyone’s face. The piece also has a nice play on light and reflection.

Paradise by ~Aphantopus :iconaphantopus:
The title of this piece says it all and it is easy to see why because of the sense of piece and tranquility that is projected through this landscape.

King-Rastel’s Runner Ups:
Just because these artists did not make the top ten picks it does not mean that they are no less deserving of a feature. These artists were in serious consideration for the top ten picks so they deserve loving as well.

To all remaining participants
I would like it to be known that I payed equal attention to everyone who participated in this feature and I would appreciate anyone who would also pay a visit to their galleries as well.
