DIGITAL DISCO VOL. 2--------------------------------------------------------------------
So, after a successful first release, comes a second (I hope). As I said in the first article, this article was made with one objective, recognition to artists/artwork. Hopefully this article will get more views and with that, artists will get more views, getting recognized. But of course, this is an article of some of my favorite pieces in deviantART so yeah, maybe youve seen some of them before. If you havent, youre in for a treat.
If you feel some of the artwork featured here deserves to get even more recognized, please contact any of the gallery moderators, but please contact the gallery moderator in charge of the respective category. For a list of all the GMs and where they moderate, please visit the

THE SURPRISE!
This vol. of Digital Disco contains something very special, something I mentioned in my journal, and it was a surprise. I guess I can tell you what it is now, huh? Well, its not that much, but its an interview to one of my favorite artists. This will be included in all the volumes to come. This volumes interview is, *drum roll*, Anthony Giacomino! Also known as, =anthony-g. This is what he has to say:
Starting off with an ice breaker, do you like eggs?
Yeah eggs are good, but even better if you have bacon too.
Alright, so anyway, sup Anthony, howve you been?
Im doing well thanks. Ive just been completing some freelance projects and doing some finishing touches on some pieces for Intrinsic Natures fifth art exhibition release on the 24th of April.
Nice, well, this is an interview so lets get to it. Who is the guy behind the mask? Who is Anthony Giacomino?
I am a nineteen year old freelance designer and student living in the USA. I am currently pursuing a job as a professional designer and so far things are going great.
Haha, awesome. So, dude, how did you start doing what you do now? What are your inspirations?
What I do now is primarily photo manipulation which could be used for certain commercial works, but I also enjoy creating colorful abstracts as well. My inspirations come from artists more talented above me, because I want to become well-known and comparable to some of my favorite artists. Otherwise I am inspired by the world and so many aspects in nature.
What makes you get inspired by these inspirations?
I think just the fact that there are so many interesting things in this world that people take for granted or dont seem to care about. Something as simple as the serenity of relaxing on a nice day by a lake just brings my artistic mind to life.
Have you ever felt that you no longer desire to keep doing what you do and move along to something else? Yeah I know, Im just throwing random questions.
To be honest, almost since I started doing graphics I have really been into it. Ive never thought about seriously quitting, and because of that attitude I have been able to improve significantly over the last 4+ years. There are times when I take breaks, but thats just to refresh my mind and ideas.
Do you like the smell of new shoes? Lulz.
Yes new shoes smell great. Sometimes I buy new shoes just to smell and then I get rid of them when theyre old. Just kiddin.
Could you name any inspirational artists?
Matei Apostolescu (beaucoupzero) myaki-ru, Peter Jaworowski, Jerico Santander, nkray, Archan Nair
Those are great indeed. So, Anthony, tell us, do you have any upcoming projects or events?
I do have many upcoming projects. As I mentioned before IN5 comes out April 24th, and I will have at least 5 never seen projects. I feel some of them are my best work so Im excited to share. In addition, I have a 6 page tutorial in Advanced Photoshop magazine Issue 57 coming out soon. I also will have maybe one more personal project coming out within the next few weeks.
WOW! I must say, Im impressed. Good job bro, keep it up! Anyway, I guess you want to stop answering these questions, so Ill end up with one quick question. How do you feel about getting featured and interviewed in Digital Disco Vol. 2? When the f*** are you going to get online to play some Halo 3?
It was very nice to be featured in Digital Disco Vol. 2 and I thank you for your interest. I will be ready any time you want to play bro so let me know!
Thanks for your time bitch, talk to you later.
You are the bitch! Lol
So, that was Anthony Giacomino. A great artist, friend or foe, you choose. Visit him, visit his gallery, hell leave with your mouths wide open.
