futurama returns on comedy central in 2010

~javoec:iconjavoec: reports, June 9
ok, this is the mother of all the futurama news, futurama is back again (like the 2nd coming of jesus!). finally the official press release we were waiting for was posted today at the comedy central press.
not only futurama returns on comedy central, but it returns with 26, yes 26 brand new episodes that will be available in the mid 2010 (and fox retains the option to license the original runs of the new episodes to a broadcast network)

since i've seen many futurama fans at da, i guess this is great news for all of them (including me)!.

To boldly go...

Depth of Field: Official Honoree 2009 Webby Awards

`Helewidis:iconHelewidis: reports, April 21
This is a series of videos/slideshows where AP photographers present how they work and what it's like to be out in the field as a photojournalist.

Some of the videos you can find there:

Covering Gaza
Ariel Schalit and Khalil Hamra talk about covering both sides of one of the most dangerous places for a photojournalist to work.

U.S. Troops in Iraq
Maya Alleruzzo talks about her experiences as an embed with U.S. troops in Iraq, and her efforts to put a human face on the story.

Life in North Korea
Photographers are rarely allowed inside North Korea's borders. David Guttenfelder gives viewers a glimpse of life inside the nation under the very watchful eye of a "minder."

Barack Obama Wins
Election Day proved electric for thousands of Chicagoans when their home-state senator, Barack Obama, became the first African-American to win the presidency. David Guttenfelder follows voters from the lines at the polls early in the morning to the celebration late that night.

New York Stock Exchange
Emotions often run high on the stock market floor. Richard Drew, who regularly covers the New York Stock Exchange, shares the highs and lows in a time of financial crisis.

Really gives us a glimpse into the photojournalist's lifes.

Great find. I have looked at a couple of them, especially the Gaza one and it surprises me how these people cope with what is going on around them.

I saw an interview with a war photographer once and he was saying that he always has to have the lens on autofocus as some of the attrocities he has seen brings tears to his eyes and has to rely on AF as he cannot see properly.

Absolutely amazing stuff.

:iconhelewidis:
Its not the whole article. Its just the snippets OF the films one can find in the article, if you notice. It'd be the whole article if I posted the links to the films!

Case to say, please next time check twice before posting a comment? :slow:

It may as well be when you're trying to scan through the news section and find most of the article listed. An excerpt is two or three SENTENCES. Not paragraphs. Like I said, learn to use it correctly.
:iconhelewidis:
I understand that may confusion and distress. If you notice my other www news none is like this one. It'd be very hard for me to shorter a sentence even more than what I already did for each video - it wouldn't make sense to anyone. And please, don't forget they were distinct videos, a phrase for all of them wouldn't work - or if it did it'd turn into a paragraph. So, what I've come up with is to cut down some video's info and use the < sub > code to make it shorter. You can see that difference now. :)

Thank you for your input.
