Good day, boys and girls, and welcome back to a well over-due edition of
Chance to Shine!
You'll have to excuse the bit of downtime we've had, but things should now be getting back on track. Today, I've scowered DeviantART for three new potential
victims lucky participants for todays edition, and you have all the reason to be very excited, cause it is a good bunch I've got for you all!
Featured Emoticonists
Without further ado, here are the three people selected:
1)
MM is a mousy chick from Down Under that's been a deviant for roughly a month, but has already produced a great deal of excellent emoticons. Choosing only 3 to feature was hard, cause there are many in her gallery which made me smile, but these three are my personal favorites:

- "
Jelly wiggle"
Jelly, both yummy and very much wiggly, is portrayed perfectly in this simple little emoticon. And it's easy to see why the pink emote is so happy. Perfect choice of expression. :3

- "
Puddles"
I've often thought how hillarious it would be if something like this were to happen to someone, and here it is represented just as one could imagine in emoticon format. Remember, kids, check the depth of the puddle
before you jump in.

- "
Group glomp"
The shading looks great, the animation is fluid, and the idea is really cute. What more could you ask for? Oh. Yeah. A matrix effect. Executed flawlessly.

2)
This young lad from the UK has been with us for about a year now, and according to himself is "
just a regular kid." Well, the question is, how
regular is someone if one is capable of making such hilarious emoticons?

- "
Emote Balloon"
People often ask what emoticons are made out of. Or what they are filled up with. Here, we get the obvious answer: Helium. But... then what is the green one filled with? :0

- "
Scare"
Although simple, the background looks great, and it's always awesome to see people experimenting with such things. The idea for the emote itself is also really nice, and the expressions look splendid.

- "
Alone in the dark"
It's always great to see a good static emoticon, and this is one of the better ones out there. The simple circle on the ground captures the feeling of darkness incredibly well, and the two emotes look really cute.

3)
Here's a 15 year old lad from the Netherlands that has been a member for about 1 and a half years now. if you can't guess from the name, this emoticonists personal emoticon is a frog, and I think it's really cute to boot.

- "
:canttouchthis:"
Watching this, I can almost hear the tune in my head.
Hammer Time! I think it's hillarious.

- "
:damnaddiction:"
Time sure flies when your on damn. And then you die.

The funnies part is that the emote is still typing for a little bit when it's just a skeleton left.

- "
Rollercoaster"
This is an excellent idea which has been pulled off very nicely. The addition of the moving clouds in the background is a really nice touch.

There's always a bright side to life. It's just a matter of not being too colourblind to be able to see it.
