'm no expert on how to get your art noticed. But I have a few suggestions which couldn't kill ya.
So here are a few ideas that you can run with

~~~
1)
DeviantSPOTLIGHT!
DeviantSPOTLIGHT is pretty much self explanatory. Be "spotlighted."
Every day the Spotlight is updated with a new journal about an artist from deviantArt.
They accept all artists, yes even you writers out there.
It's simple to get spotlighted. Visit the spotlight dev page, fill out the questionnaire, note the filled out questionnaire to =
deviantSPOTLIGHT and within a few days you'll be SPOTLIGHTED. It's first come first serve. So the sooner you do it, the sooner you will be spotlighted!!
2)
Behind The Artists!Behind The Artists is a journal/news entry I put out every so often. Try to do once a week, but sometimes it comes out every other week depending on my work schedule. This is just like the SPOTLIGHT in a sense. I have a questionnaire that I note to you, you fill it out and send it back. Within a few weeks time the interview will be up as a journal/news entry. Along with that, you can also give me the deviations you'd like to be apart of the interview. Hopefully it gets you a few more people that love your art
3)
Be Critiqued!Subscribers have an awesome new feature called "Critiqued." When you submit a deviation it'll ask if you want the deviation to be critiqued. Check the box and wait. Someone can stop by, leave a critique on one of your pieces which their (the critiquers) watchers will see! If they have a quite of bit of watchers, someone will see the deviation, might like it, and come check out the rest of your art. Not only are you getting valuable feedback but also some people to come check you out
4)
Clubs!If you're new or old to DeviantArt but not a part of a club then you could be missing out. There are clubs for pretty much everything on DeviantArt. Most clubs let you post a piece from your gallery once a week, sometimes more, sometimes less. Either way, your art is getting out there. Not only that, but most clubs also hold contests. Some of the prizes maybe be features on other deviants journals, and also subscriptions and other awesome things. Joining a club is a great way to meet new people and share your art and find some other amazing art as well
5)
Be Social!Ever been to the fourms? How about the chat rooms? No? Then go! Being a social person helps get your name out there. People might want to come check out your page. Being kind, courteous, helpful to other deviants, giving out ideas, ect. doesn't hurt either. There is always people in the fourms and chat rooms. Sure it could be a lil rough at first. Just the way it is sometimes on the net. But stick with it, make some friends and get "known." I know that I, myself, always go into galleries of people that I talk to in the chat rooms.
Also posting comments on people deviations or on their page helps also. Look for some deviations that catch your eye. Fave them or comment them. Doing a good deed usually brings a good deed back
So don't be afraid!
Also some deviants you may know could do "pimpage" journals which pimps your artwork (aka featured). Keep your eyes open
You could be one of those people who have amazing artwork yet no one knows you. Get yourself out there!
Those are just a few ideas. Try em out and see what happens. Most of all have fun!
