deviantART's Community Relations Team provides a unique collective effort that seeks to create and sustain collaborative relationships among deviants and to develop innovative opportunities within the global art industry. These relationships are meant to provide and encourage opportunities to foster creative genius. The CR Team acts as a window of information for the community on how to utilize deviantART in a way that will empower and enable themselves as respected and successful artists.
Our ultimate vision is a community of artists that come together unified and strengthened by sharing the belief that they hold the artistic power to create and shape their own success. In order to realize our vision, our mission must be to exceed the expectations of our community, whom we view as partners, and we will accomplish this by committing to our shared core values. Our core values are listed in

1. Groups & Information
It's hard to stay contained with the launch of groups so close! #
hq is actually a fully functioning group if you have the right privileges! It's quite thrilling to watch the live development of something we've been working on for so long, and I can't wait until you have your hands on it! $
spyed has been hanging out in
#seniors during our Monday Devious Technology call and last monday he actually posted a log in his journal
here. If you're one of those people that likes to get insider information and be 'in the know', I strong suggest watching $
spyed and dropping into
#seniors (especially around 1:30pm PST) and you just may catch him in a sharing mood

2. Message Center Retention Changes
We announced the upcoming changes to Message Center Retention in this
News Article. While we attempted to explain the changes in as much detail as possible, I find there is still some confusion so i'm going to try and clear that up here.
Effective May 1st, 2009, message folders will be limited to 10,000 messages per folder. That means you can have 10,000 deviations, 10,000 news items, 10,000 journals etc. Also, messages that are older than 1 year that have not been moved to a custom folder, will be deleted. Please also note, that while placing messages in custom folders will save them from the time limit, each custom folder is ALSO limited to 10,000 messages. So you can't move your 64,000 deviations into one custom folder

I've also been asked what happens if you have 10,000 messages - do you stop receiving new ones? The simple answer is no

You won't stop receiving messages, instead, the oldest message of that kind would be deleted to make room for the new one. For example: If you have 10,000 journal messages, the oldest journal message will be removed.
It is also important to point out that these changes DO NOT affect notes in any way.
For more information you can check out the FAQ:

4. WANTED: dA Getting Started Tutorials
$
fella has been busy collecting some great tutorials created by members of the community. He's been especially excited about the ones that focus on topics that help new deviants get settled into our awesome community. However, the site has changed vastly over the years and we seem to have a shortage of 'getting started' v6 tutorials. Simple things like: Uploading and avatar, posting a journal, submitting a deviation - etc etc.
So $
fella and I would love to see more deviantART tutorials relevant for our latest version! and if you know of any or have made any, please sent me a note

$
fella wants to add them to his collection of helpful tutorials - YOU could be responsible for educating the next generation of deviants!
