Kaleidoscope is a way of presenting images in a creative way and is the concept behind the work of =kscope

if the o is similar in shade to the x, then an X is formed

if the o is similar to the + then a cross is formed

This effect is enhanced if just the two images are used.




symmetry, rotation and mirroring

repetition - the images are not rotated or flipped


variation - the same images are used but varied in someway to create an effect


rotation - images rotated 90 degrees (left or right) or 180 degrees


mirroring: horizontal flip/vertical flip - reversing an image on either plane to give symmetry


tiling - images are continually flipped to make a repetitive pattern


chains horizontal-vertical - images repeated in straight lines


framing - images used to frame a central image


diminishing infinity - the frame is repeated increasingly small in the centre
