May Mixup Madness!

=kiwi-damnation:iconkiwi-damnation: reports, April 29
It seems I can’t go more than 3 months without issuing a challenge or a competition. I love to see what people can create under restrictions and constraints- when they have to force their muse to act in a way they never would have thought of before. It gives me endless enjoyment to be the source of inspirational torture 

MUHAHAHA! So here I go again guys! Another challenge for your torturous delight! You know that if you have the time, you will give it a go. There is something about the human spirit that says, ‘Look at that hard to do activity! I must beat it and revel in my awesome!’ Lit is no different.

But I digress. The May Mixup Madness (MMM) is another of my kooky brainwaves. Well technically, it was a brain child borne of both =XburiedinblackX and I.

Gah Shut up Sam!

This challenge is relatively simple in theory. You choose a poet or a musician. Just the one, ok? Then you choose ONE line from their pieces. You can steal from as many pieces as you like, but only one line per piece may be used so pick wisely. Then dear friends, stitch them together!

For example, if you picked Shakespeare and you wanted an eight line poem, you would need to find 1 line from each of 8 different pieces and piece them together. Like a jigsaw, or Frankenstein’s face!

So in recap!

1.Choose ONE poet/musician.
2.Find ONE line per piece of their work from as many pieces as you like.
3.Stitch it!

Choose it, Find it, Stitch it!

This challenge is just that, a challenge. I am not judging it, so there will be not much in it for you bit the enjoyment of creating something way different from your normal criteria. Knowing me though, I’ll probably throw in some random -OMG THAT IS AMAZING, I LOVE YOU! - prizes.

If you are going to jump on the challenge bandwagon, could you please include a link to this news article in your artist’s comments so other people can see what you are doing?

Also, could you please name the songs/poems you use in successive order either in brackets beside the lines, or in your artist’s comments? That would be cool so we can see where they came from. Thanks :D

Now this challenge begins on May 1st at 12am GMT and ends that time on June 1st also. Any pieces you would like to be posted in a list in my journal will have to be linked to me via notes.

Good day to you miladies and good sirs!
