Break Down The Writing Wall!

~Lady-Shade:iconLady-Shade: reports, November 20
Has writing lost its luster? That shiny quality that you saw when you first started out? Maybe it has. Maybe it hasn't. But we all run into problems and sooner or later we all hit that proverbial wall. We all hit it at some point but what sets some a part from others is the fact that they charge, give a mighty battle roar, and blast that wall down while still having fun with their writing. Why can't this be you?

April Showers, May Flowers

^StJoan:iconStJoan: reports, May 2
What better way to celebrate the aftermath of NaPoWriMo and the beginning of Critique Week than to have a contest focusing on the next step in the writing process?

The April Showers, May Flowers contest focuses on revision, turning dreary poems into polished works of art. We want you to pick any poem you’ve submitted to dA before April 30th, polish it up, and submit it as a new deviation.

:star:Rules!:star:
To enter you MUST:

-Send a note with ‘April Showers, May Flowers’ as the subject to all four literature GMs (^fllnthblnk, ^LadyLincoln, ^SparrowSong, and ^StJoan ).

-The note should contain a link to the original deviation and a link to the revision.

-The original may be kept in Scraps if you’d rather not have it in your gallery, but both links must remain working through the duration of the contest for the entry to be eligible, so don’t move the piece after you submit it to the contest.

-One entry per person.

-Entries must be received on or by 11:59 EST (-5 GMT) on May 31st, with results announced soon afterward.

:star:Judges::star:
^fllnthblnk
^LadyLincoln
^SparrowSong
^StJoan.

:star:Criteria::star:
Judging will be based on the amount of improvement, as well as by the quality of the finished piece, so choose your entry wisely. A piece that was good to begin with may end up great, but a piece that went from bad to pretty good may impress the judges through how much it improved.
