Writing for the ChildrenThe purpose of this contest is to write a piece whose target audience is between 3 and 10. The piece can be poetry, flash-fiction, or a multi-chapter story.
The contest will be held in three parts. You must participate in all three parts to win.
Part One: Writing the piece
The deadline for the piece is June 5, 2009.

One submission per person.

Make sure you use language that is appropriate for your target audinece

It can be a poem, flash-fiction(short fiction), or a multi-chapter story(this can be submitted over multiple deviations)

You piece must have a clear moral or lesson.

To submit your piece, send me a note with a link to your piece.

All the submissions will be listed in a custom box on my journal page.
Part Two: Critiquing the pieces
You must provide constructive criticism on one of the submissions.

You can use the Critique option if it is available to you.

You can critique more than one piece.

Critiques must be completed by June 19, 2009

You must send me a note with a link to the piece you critiqued.
Part Three: Finalizing the Piece
You must take into account all of the critiques to help you improve your piece.

Your piece must be finalized by June 26, 2009.

Send me a note telling me your piece is finalized.

Once you have finalized the piece, you can not change it.
