Getting to know some of the bigger names and familiar avatars in the Flash Gallery.

Edition 2: *LazyMuFFin

:iconlazymuffin:

Q: How did you first discover deviantART?
~Mrsfeces, a dear friend of mine, told me about this site about four years ago when I was about 13.

Q: What was it about dA that made you want to stay?
The exposure mostly. Back then I enjoyed the feedback even if it was "XD" or "LOL"...
Probably cause I talked like that back then too.

Q: What is the story behind your username?
What a CONVENIENT question! I actually have an animation explaining my username.

For short, its an tribute to the great flash site muffinfilms.com

Q: Who or what got you into Flash?
My brother. He downloaded Flash 5 when I was about 10 and started making animation. The program somewhat intrigued me since I have been making little animation on the sides of my notebooks for a while at the time.

Just started playing around with it.

Q: Onto Flash itself, how long have you been using it and do you have a favourite version?
I have been using it for about seven years. Of course at the beginning it was mostly drawings, but eventually I started doing some basic animation.

For now, my favorite version is Flash CS3, mostly because of the layout.

Q: What 3 deviations in the deviantART Flash Gallery do you enjoy most? (please provide links/thumbs)
Eeesh, that's hard. I just don't think there's much of a flash scene on dA. Yeah, there are a couple of good animators and animations but if you go and browse the Flash section, you won't find much more than bad loops and just .SWF's of flash drawings.

I'll just go with two animators I like that are also on this site:
:iconsqeezy:
:iconmr-insomnia777:

Q: What are your pet peeves on dA and/or in general?
I have a bunch. To be honest I'm not much of a fan of the whole system. I have had submissions of mine deleted at least a dozen times including a bunch of comments I would have liked to go back and look at. Also the demographic is very strange. Seems like it varies from 5% of cool people, 70% of people that draw sonic fan art and 25% of okay people. Going through comments can be very frustrating but this is after all the internet, a greasy melting pot.

Q: So what have you got up your sleeve at the moment?
I just finished a job I had for a month and a half working for a local TV station doing animation, so now I'll try to put some effort into my Nameless series.

Q: What would you like to be doing in 5 years time?
Work as an animator. If I'm really ambitious have a show or something like that.

Q: What do you consider to be your best work?
I like the episode 6 of the Nameless series, mostly since it integrates script writing AND animation.

Q: Where do you get your inspiration from?
Lately it has been money, which is pretty sad but true.
Overall I just enjoy making animations... and the children of the world laugh.

Q: What would you say are your 5 favourite animated feature films?
1. Tom & Jerry
2. Waltz with Bashir
3. Aladdin
4. South Park
5. Toy Story

Q: Other than being creative, what other things do you like doing? What do you do to relax?
Play games, play my guitar, watch movies and shows, play poker with friends... Nothing out of the ordinary...

Q: What advice would you give to a newcomer of Flash?

Be patient. Flash can be a bitch to work with. It has a lot of bugs and stuff that just don't make sense. Keep your cool and have fun with it.

Bonus Question: Please only pick only two bonus questions out of the list available.
c) What’s your all time favorite computer game?

This is difficult. I would say its either Half Life or Diablo.

d) If you were a ‘Lost’ character, which one would you be and why?
GOD DAMN IT THAT SHOW PISSES ME OFF. ARHGHHH.

Final Question: Is there anything else you wish to say?
Be nice to me admins of DeviantArt. ):

:star: Many thanks to *LazyMuFFin for taking part! :star:

It's nice to know it brings out emotion in you. :D

But you're right, it's been a quiet month. I guess I'll have to launch the fortnightly feature article to keep you occupied more.
