I totally agree with you,
A few months ago I felt like that, I had like no one faving my pictures and it kind of bummed me for a bit but then I realized I could honestly care less if anyone ever faved something of mine. Because I love taking pictures and writing poems, and that's what counts in the end.
And soon enough some of my stuff started getting faved. Just got to be patient and remember what really matters in the end.
Keep your mind on what you ENJOY doing instead of on the people that are not faving your stuff.

You're right about that, and I came from another huge artist site that has the same kinds of problems, only worse, seemingly. What's sad is how it gets to be a "you scratch my back, and I'll scratch yours" kind of thing, with everyone expecting everyone else to always comment on their art, or fave it, or whatever. And if that doesn't happen, feelings get hurt, and etc. It turns into a comment fest/fave fest, with those who don't participate like crazy being left totally out in the cold.

I'm happy to say that it's much better here--I've been amazed at how many people fave my art, even when I don't get to theirs to comment all the time. And I don't believe in commenting on every single piece, unless I happen to love every single piece, or at least see something in the each piece that impresses me, or makes me want to point out how well it was done. Even if I don't particularly like a certain piece of art, if I can tell that it was hard work doing it, or that it was at least very well done, I tend to comment on it. That's the kind of commenting I want to do--commenting that truly means something, and not just for the sake of "keeping up with the Joneses".....*gets off soapbox*......okay, 'nuff said....*wry smile* But as I say, I've noticed that the situation really is better here at this site, and for that, I'm glad!

most i dont get upset about not geting faved though its alwas realy nice to get a realy great coment or a bunch of faves (a buch for me is like 1-5 )ROFL XD

i sort of thing of DA as a place to meat some fellow artist and just have fun look at some nice works of art ... and maby even get some insperation

i find posting on DA actualy motivates me a bit to do more with my photografie othere wise i donno if i whould have REALY dug threw my older photos and even newer ones to find photos i like and maby if im lucky the ocasional gem lol

Well that's good that it isn't as bad here as it is on other sites! I just wish that everyone was here to appreciate and share their art, not to just get favs and comments! But I think a lot of folks here on DA really do love ART!

Yes, I completely agree! This site should be a place where you can meet other artisit and get feedback on your art work! It should just be a faving/commenting contest!

I completely agree. Art is meant to be made from a person's heart, not from how others view it. Art is something that means something wonderful to the artist.
