Today is the one year anniversary of the Synth Agenda. The agenda has completed all of its core activities so I have decided to declassify what is going on.



What is the Synth Agenda?
The Synth Agenda is an elaborate application of Agent Theory.

Agents? Like the CIA and FBI?

The structure of the Synth Agenda pulls from the writings of Aristotle and the Artificial Intelligence field of study. The proxies are personifications of “intelligent agents.” From artificial intelligence, agents are ‘autonomous entities which observe and act upon an environment’. My agents - called “ Proxies”- are this definition in the flesh. It has nothing to do with the CIA, FBI, Men in Black, etc.

Why?
I wanted proxies.

The idea of having people take on various activities that were all pieces of a bigger activity came to me a few weeks before starting the Synth Agenda. The driving purpose of the Synth Agenda was to gather these people. Proxies quite literally proxy my will. Proxies were the bigger mystery in the Synth Agenda at one point, I don’t know why more people didn’t simply look up the word “ proxy” in a dictionary.



Also, pageviews, lots and lots of them. As a side effect of certain activities, the pageviews, , comments, and watchers came.



Still following the original plans I made one year ago, many activities were put on hold till I had a certain number of pageviews. I told one of my first proxies that “everything will be easier when I gain more pageviews”, after taking one look at the forum and seeing all the various heated discussions about ‘views’ I figured they would be the key to moving forward on this site. I always speculated more would pay attention to you when you had more pageviews, turns out to be true.

The Cards and the Letters?

The cipher that I use is over 10 years old, I created it on a whim when I was a lot younger. All of my casual and private writings are written this way. The cards use these writings because the point of what they say isn’t important, they are for the agents. The agents become conditioned to which ones are positive messages and which ones are negative messages.

Two people have proved they could read the cards word for word.


The images, propaganda?

The Synth Agenda turned out to be a very original idea on a site plagued by imitated art and cliche’ themes. It has infinite opportunity for creativity. My various models were often given an offsite backstory on the Synth Agenda before the photo shoots or art projects. They loved it.

The Art Showcases called “ Postulates”?

Their purpose is to showcase the works of people involved in the Synth Agenda. One of the criteria of being a proxy is the artistic talent, I wanted to showcase that. To end some speculation, yes, they do serve as a front for the inner operations of the Synth Agenda. Some people are more perceptive than others.

Finally?

The Synth Agenda would have operated the same way whether it was on deviantArt or somewhere else. I decided to plant it on dA because of its size and features. DeviantArt’s users often made clubs for group things, these and contests were generally open to everyone and the Synth Agenda has always been inclusive and invite only. This raised a few eyebrows in the past but DeviantArt’s new GROUP features will make this kind of operation commonplace here. The note system was not the best way to communicate to the various agents. Pioneers pave the way.
