I told my pirates to go out and bring back treasures from deep within the abyss of the Anthro Gallery ocean, and bring them aboard the Jolly Feature! ARRRRG!


Here's what we dug up and believe deserves some more love & recognition!

first up let me introduce myself; this is me Kyna
This is one of mine, honestly I love it, that may just be the fact that I was the one that spent like 4 HOURS! on it.
Most of the time I spent on this picture was spent on all the little fine details (and that’s why I doubt that I will ever colour her) anyway, enough of that! If you want to hear her story it will be posted up in my gallery sooner or latter *goes back to wrighting it*

I really love this piece, it may just be because it’s different but why i like it doesn’t matter!!
It is a well drawn picture with fantastic colouring and character design.

this artist be a comrade of mine of mine and a great artist, this picture has a great feel to it and really draws you in. it really makes you want to jump into the pic and fight alongside the character.

This artist is another comrade of mine. This is a fantastic line art of her demonic character happy. I love the small amount of colour she put in the eye only.

And this is my last comrade to be featured. This is another piece with a real feeling in it. It is another that makes you want to defend the character.

This picture is brilliant! Great composition, solid colors, and fantastic expression. The picture is bristling with personality and energy.

Sky Pirates: By ~WindyKid
Each character in the picture is unique and individual. Just from the drawing, you can tell that each one has their distinct personality and style from their expressions and their dress.
The characters are drawn with confidence, and there is a firm sense of movement from the background while adding an extra sense of intrigue to it's story.

He's a Devil With the Ladies: by =shoomlah
The fantastic expression in this picture creates an incredibly dapper and charming picture.

Argh Cat Pirate: By ~Teagle
This picture is hilarious. It has a very modern and yet classic appeal to it all at the same time.

A charming and skillfully rendered picture. It has a great color scheme and lighting.

This picture makes me warm inside, and I love the way it's coloured. Everything looks so smooth and clean.

It's almost impossible to choose. Every single artwork in *nekophoenix's gallery is created with so much love and effort, I want to pick them all!

I've admired this piece for quite some time now. The perspective, shading, highlights, and details are done wonderfully, I especially love that sky. I'm not sure if this falls under anthro very well, but it deserves a look either way.

The color and surrealism of "I promise" is fantastic! The background keeps me searching for little details and the character's expression really sets a mood.

I really love this picture. The character is quite simple but the small details bring the picture together wonderfully. I love the swirls, the shine of the eyes, and the detail on the gun.

Optical Arsenal has a great sense of anatomy and details! "Sea Dogs" always manages to draw me back and look for more. <3

This one has great underwater highlights and an interesting pose.

This one has a great pose and detail. The raptors personality just jump out of the image.

It's hard to choose only one anthro artwork from =Rhynn, all her drawings are awesome and she deserves MUCH more attention than she has.

~dimespin's artwork and designs are great, I specially like this one for the composition, color and concept.

This drawing is simply charming. I love the colors and the character's expression!

It's such a simple and sweet drawing. I love the rich coloring and I can almost feel the breeze that's rustling her hair and the flower petals. Lovely work!

It's hard not to laugh at this superbly adorable take on a subject that tends to offend some. I have to say I was too busy laughing at how cute and cuddly they look to think otherwise.

Kattything always has a wonderful use of color in her paintings. That's why I watch her. On top of that, she can achieve a great use of contrast and saturation despite using traditional mediums.

As someone who's been browsing the anthro gallery for a long time, one of the things I find omitted from a lot of works are backgrounds. I often see works that can substantially be improved if a background were used. This is a great example. This piece wouldn't be the same if the characters weren't coupled with the beautiful, atmospheric background.

Great lighting, and I love how the eyes contrast with the rest of the piece. They draw you in, and you don't want to look away.
