Welcome to the Second Edition of =Thumbshares very own Ninja Critiques!!
When the Critique function came out we thought it would be a wonderful idea if it could be used to enhance Thumbshare in some way, and we came up with this! A feature of deviations handpicked by various mods and critiqued by them. That way not only do you get the benefit of showing your thumbs in #Thumbsshare as per normal but if youre lucky you could get a feature AND some critique to go with it! elegant sin by *BelaFarinRod1988

SampdoriaThe classic impact of lace on skin.
The person who came up with lace was a genius. This photograph exhibits 2 snippets of the same subject. The first segment gives what I'd call the intro. The second one gives us the macro feel.
Those goose bumps add that little extra dimension which many photos miss out on.
What makes this piece beautiful is the subtlety in which the topic is handled - the topic of eroticism. It conveys as much as it hides successfully.
On technical matters, the thicker black frame could have been finer.
Cheers

Moon Hitler by @Narfmaster

As I'm writing this there is a little moon hitler walking in front of me.
A nice and simple re-creation and even though it is simple it is still eyecatching. My only real issue is that although the walker looks great at that size you lose alot of details, if it wasn't mentioned it was Moon Hitler i may not have know who was in it at all. Increasing the size of the emote may help to let you add more details. *shrugs*
Other then that it's very good, i could almost picture a hitler walking around the moon surface in a similar walker

The-EggI like this shot a lot. The composition is good, with the path leading the eye through the image, and i'm a sucker for high contrast shots. The saturation is about perfect, and really highlights the colors of the flowers. I think the vignetting is a bit much on the bottom left, although having the top right that dark i think helps to keep ones eye on the flowers and path. I would maybe crop the top a little bit more so the path ends at the very top of the image, but all in all, this is very well done.

Timothy-SimI really enjoyed this piece for a few reasons:
The great use of timing and shutter speed gave the cars ample time to spin around and create this amazing circled shot around the circus (round-about).
The lighting was spot on and perfect in choice and style.
Could it have been any better? Perhaps. I kept looking at the top right where the night sky betrayed the grains of your powershot even at 200 iso. It might be high time to get a digital slr to capture shots like that seeing how you're able to control the function to get what you want already!

UseR2006A truely amazing piece. I am a huge fan of water colours for many reasons, the colours tend to be more apealing to the eye and can be more expressive especially with subtlety i think.
The theme of change is well represented, kind of reminds me a little of an Anime called Full Metal Alchemist (but thats a whole different conversation).
I think my main critisism has to be the lack of colour, in terms of variation. the red and blue work nicely but it feels a little scarce, especially with so much negative space (white area)
Overall though, it is nicely done
If you want to be featured in next fortnights edition just head over to #thumbsshare and thumb away! You dont have to be a member of the club though you do need to have the critique feature in order for us to critique it!
Hope to see you all soon!
Happy Thumbsharing!
