As a member of dA for almost three years now, I can definitely say that this is the best art community that I've ever seen. Deviant Art is such a great way for artists of every type so share their work with millions of other people, make friends, get critique, etc. It's user friendly, and I've seen some of the most beautiful art ever featured on this site.

With the countless numbers of Deviants on this site however, so many people go unnoticed, or would merely like to make friends! I've noticed so many great artists with so much potential or skill, yet they go unnoticed. Other artists would simply just love for people to take the time to stop by their page and check out their art. What's the deal?!

So with that in mind, why don't we spread the love? That's right! This summer, I'm proposing the idea of "Spreading the love!" Why not show each other how we appreciate one another and make new friends? See new art? Just have a good ol' time?

There are many ways to spread the love this summer. Starting June 1st (or even now if you wish!), here are a list of ways to spread the love this summer:

1. For each day you log in, say hi to at least one random deviant! Click on the menu at the top of the page, click more, click on diversions, then click random deviant! Feel free to say hi to as many people as you like! And who knows! Maybe you'll make a new friend, find some beautiful art, or simply brighten a Deviant's day!

2) The same with above, comment on a random Deviation! The more you comment, the more critique an artist gets, and perhaps you'll once again make a new friend!

3) When you log in, comment at least one recently submitted piece of art! As I've seen, many deviants here on deviant art goes MONTHS without getting a single comment on their work, especially if they are new to the community. A single comment can help an artist greatly and make them feel good about their art or even improve!

4) Check out the <Welcome Center in the Forum! Simply saying "Hello! Welcome to Deviant Art!" can brighten a Deviant's day! Plus you could even make new friends!

These ways allow for ourselves to get out there, as well as let other people get to make new friends, get comments and critique, etc. Doing any of these steps takes mere seconds to do, so for those of you who are busy, you can still spread the love with your busy schedules.
