Hello deviants!

I realized that not everyone knows the basics of making a good Text Art piece.
It often takes a lot more than just simply press the ''T'' tool and type something (unless you want the TextArt piece to be simple of course).
So I thought:
Why not teaching you guys the basics how to make a Text Art piece?
I will let you improve, even if it takes me hours and days to explain to you how the tools work.
You'll learn the basics of making Text Art in:
-
Adobe Photoshop:I'll explain to you how to use the Pen tool and how to make Text Art like this:

Even if the Pen tool is a pain in the ass for you, there is another trick that almost gives you the same effect, which I'll learn to you guys as well.
Or how to make a Photomanipulation Text Art piece like this:

-
Adobe Illustrator:I'll explain to you how to make a Vector Typography piece, using effects such as
3D, twirl like this:

but also how to make a Vector Typography piece after a simple sketch.
-
I'll explain to you the DO's and the DONT's in Text Art. What looks horrible? And what kind of techniques makes your Text Art piece jumps out? What must the size be? What's the best composition? Or where do you find useful conceptual Text to use?
-
And I'll give you good critique trust me, in the end your Text Art piece would look much better.
I'm sure others would love to give critique and help you as well in the chatroom. Of course, questions about Text Art are also welcome.
After making the poll, I came to a conclusion that you guys prefer Friday and Saturday, so I'll teach you guys on those 2 days the same things.
It will be about the basics, if you already know them, you're also welcome to join and help me out!
It's also about to get to know each other better. In the end we could talk about the Gallery, how to improve it, if you have complains or questions and so go on!
