I hinted at it in a poll recently, and the results of the poll were favorable enough to decide to do this. So here it is- I'm going to hold a drawing contest.

THEME:Tomboys & Tomgirls

Contest Entry Date: May, 26th

Contest End Date: June, 30th

~*~*~*~RULES~*~*~*~

1.) Each participant may submit a maximum of two(2) entries if they wish.

2.) You must be the artist & colorist of the piece(s) you submit. You cannot have any help from anyone else or someone do half the work for you. Participants who attempt this will be disqualified.

3.) Incomplete/unfinished entries will not be accepted. Entries must be complete. You have a solid month, so this shouldn't be an issue.

4.) The entries cannot be old deviations uploaded prior to this contest, and any entries submitted must be submitted anytime after the contest entry date (see above).

5.) The entries may contain original characters, fanart, or a combination of the two. The entries may contain more than one character.

6.) If you want to use a character that belongs to another deviantart member (which would make your submission a fanart), you must first obtain permission to use that character for this contest from that deviant, and have them send me a note, verifying the permission and clearing it with me.

7.) Any genre is allowed. Anime/manga style (japanese), semi-realism style, cartoon style, comic book style (western), anthro/furry style, etc.

8.) Both traditional and digital media are allowed.

9.) No nudity or sexually explicit images. Ecchi is ok, but nothing borderline hentai, folks.

10.) Nothing that breaks any of the DA rules or TOS (Terms of Service).

11.) No yuri/yaoi. Characters of the same sex may be featured together, so long as there is nothing inappropriate.

12.) Link your deviation to the contest (this journal and also my main page (preferably with the icon tag) to help promote the contest and the person running it.

There will be three entries selected in total.

1st Place:
-Free colored picture of your favorite tomboy OR tomgirl.
-$10 dollars in commission credit (can be stored and/or used to commission me)
-One month of advertisement/promotion for your DA page in my journals and youtube videos. Will also be linked to when I post in the DA forums.

2nd Place:
- Free lineart of your favorite tomboy OR tomgirl.
-$5 dollars in commission credit (can be stored and/or used to commission me)
- Two weeks of advertisement/promotion for your DA page in my journals and youtube videos. Will also be linked to when in the DA forums.

3rd Place:
- Free sketch of your favorite tomboy OR tomgirl.
- 1 week of advertisement/promotion for your DA page in my journals and youtube videos. Will also be linked to when I post in the DA forums.

~*~*~*~TIPS/POINTERS/ADVICE~*~*~*~

- Make use of the 2 entry option. Even though only one of your entries will be capable of winning, BOTH together will increase your odds. Make use of the 2 entry option if you want to draw a single character each. One tomboy and one tomgirl, for example.

- Use fashion, body language, personality types, and gender associated activities to exemplify the tomboy/tomgirl qualities. For example, a tomgirl might be gathered with girls in a tea party looking pretty, and a tomboy may be playing hardball with the guys and wearing a male uniform. (Don't think these ideas will be favored by me just because I mentioned them, these are just examples, and using them won't increase your chances XD)
