JUNE MINI CONTEST

Theme: FRACTAL ANIMALS

This is a mini challenge/contest that will run from the beginning to the end of the month the idea being to create a fractal image that depicts an animal of some kind - so you don’t have to be an expert fractal artist to enter

RULES ( there has to be some )

It can be a fractal or it can be an edited fractal image (as in adjusted in photoshop or the like)
it can be more abstract or more obviously depicting an animal
the animal shape must be apparent in the image
fantasy creatures such as dragons or unicorns are acceptable
enter as many times as you like
Once you have submitted an entry you cannot withdraw it
your entry can be an older one but I would prefer a new entries
no entries over 4 months old will be accepted
please state in your artists comments that the entry is for this mini-contest and link back to either this news article or this journal [link] also has all contest details

how to enter

this is open to everyone except the judges
upload your image to DA and send me =rockgem a link or thumb to it on a note titled appropriately
I will add your work to my in a folder specifically for entries where it can be viewed
once you get a message notifying you of this that’s it you’re entered

other info

the mini contest will run from June 1 through to June 30 no entries will be accepted before this date or after it
myself and the judges will pick the top 10 entries
you can then vote for these via a poll I will put up to pick the top three
you will have a week to do this before the winners are announced



prizes

It’s a short list to start with but hopefully it will expand…

all entrants will get a journal feature of their entries from myself
the top ten finalists if you will then get a second feature from myself in a journal
the top three will get a journal feature of their winning entry and 4 other examples of their work from myself
the top three I will also create a deviation for
all entries will be featured in a news article once the contest has closed
the top ten finalists will get another news article feature
the top three winners will get a news article feature of their winning entry and some of their other works

Hopefully there will be other prizes to come please note me if you could offer a prize such as a journal feature or a custom stamp or something else - any support will be greatly appreciated
