Welcome to this week’s volume of so we heard you liek emotes. This is the 34th volume in a weekly series aimed towards promoting emote and emoticonists from the dA community. It features emotes posted within the past week from both well known and new emoticonists, as well as featuring some other great emote projects and contests.

Featured Emoticons:

Fighting emotes are always interesting to watch, as they usually display a number of interesting effects within them. :fight: by ~forestsofazarath is no exception. The teleport ad stretch effects have been nicely put together to make an interesting little fight scene

2.
One of the nice things about an emotes shape is the ability to put it in many different situations. Eggmotes by =Gnog is a fine example of this. The eggs are draw well and the simple but effective animation enhances the image all round.

3.
Showdown by ~blaahy was another brilliant emote submitted this week. The hat has been pixelled exceptionally well and the animation is well thought out and put together.

4.
Keeping with the gun theme, Bullet explostion by ~Pixelisto is an outstanding special effect to observe. The gun movement is brilliant and the twirl emitted from the gun works extremely well. The change in expression and flash over the emote all combine together to make a great emoticon.

5.
There’s something adorable about Bouncing DeeDee by ~KimRaiFan which meant I couldn’t resist featuring it. The motion of the ball and the emote has been nicely timed so both work fluently together, and the emotes expression really helps add a cute element to this emoticon.

Stamps

One of the nice things about emoticons is they can easily be used within different fads and items produced for dA. Avatars are one of the most common places to see an emoticon, however I have seen a number of great emote related stamps around.

I much prefer if they are submitted to the stamp galley (dA related > devious stamps) however that doesn’t mean they don’t deserve a feature Below are some great emote related stamps which I hope you will check out



Featured Projects

Share the emote project



=Mankati has started a new project this week in which you create other emoticonists characters in your own personal style. Its great to see how the same character looks when created by different people. Be sure to check out this journal for more info.

Woooo Project



In a nice display of teamwork, the woooo project also started this week. To enter create a wooooing character to be added to the canvas. It’s already got a few entries, so definitely take a look

Party project



The third project launched this week is the party project. It can only accept static entries, but with a simple theme it’s easy to take part.
