Emotional abuse is the least visible and often the most damaging aspect of abuse. It is used alone, or alongside physical and sexual violence. As it doesn't cause bloodshed, bruising, or broken bones, the signs are difficult to look out for in other people, and victims may not even realise they are being abused.
