ACCEPTING ENTRIES NOW, SUBSCRIPTIONS UP FOR GRABS

Hi there
Im holding a contest with the theme 'Unique Portraits' which includes human and animal portraits. I chose this theme because I see a lot of portraits that don't show depth in the subject, emotion, feeling, personality, or a different side of them. Try to capture something eyecatching and memorable, something that is unique. Even do a portrait of someone that looks unique if you wish. Experiment and use the theme in whatever way you like. It is quite open for you to be creative with.
For a couple of examples of unique portraits, but not limited to these types, use these for a couple of ideas. I find these portraits really accentuate the subjects personality and show true emotion. Only a few examples, create something completely different if you like


Dates, rules and guidelines
I will be accepting entries from now (5th of June) until August the 1st. Send me a note or comment with your entries.
I will accept two entries from each person, although you can change your entries if you change your mind later on.
You may enter older deviations as well as new ones.
All media is accepted, you may photograph, draw, manipulate etc, any visual artwork is allowed. That means no poetry/prose.
All styles are accepted, including anime/manga, cartoon. As long as you portray the theme in your artwork then it is accepted.
If you are using stock or manipulating a photo or using someones work in any way, make sure you have their permission and credit them appropriately.
Human and animal portraits are allowed, anthro is also accepted. Ask me if you have queries.
Portraits can be headshots all the way to full body. Your choice.
Have fun and be creative do what you wish with the theme.
