Hello

As you have probably noticed by now, weekly updates were being released way less often than weekly. This is due to a number of factors, but rather then type up a huge explanation which you will only cause you to fall asleep midway through.......I bring you the new and improved Monthly Help Desk Newsletter!

Ewm's Corner
I was told to send the
Help Desk a screenshot of my issue
is there anything I should know before I create one? Of course!

Screenshots are extremely helpful when explaining your issue so the
Help Desk can help you with your situation. They are able to show us visuals of your issue and even help us spot things that can give us visual clues as to what may be causing your issue such as a certain extension for your browser or even an Anti-virus program that is known to cause interferences.
Since screenshots are extremely important visually there are a few things to keep in mind. In order for the
Help Desk to see the detail in your screenshot we ask that you do not size down your screenshot. You should also make sure you capture the entire screen and not just the issue itself as sometimes clues are hidden in your task bar (internet security programs) as well as in your browser window (extensions and error messages at the bottom).
You should also explain your issue in detail as well to help better explain what we are seeing in your screenshot. A good example of this is explaining step by step how you ran into the situation that way the
Help Desk can try to reproduce the issue.

Hello again Happy Deviants.
Hey!Hey what now?
Hey I see this "deviantART Notice" on my page! Sometimes it has a picture which leads to someone else's profile! What is this and how do I get in on the action!Well now, while the deviantART Notice can contain any number of different banners for different purposes (like announcements about official contests and special offers in
the dA shop), it's primarily where Adcast banners are located.
Adcast?Oh yes, Adcast. This is noncommercial advertising meant for artists on deviantART to promote their work, on deviantART. The Notice appears in the right-hand column of the profile pages of nonsubscribed users, and you will see them if you are also nonsubscribed, or logged out.
FAQ #739: What is adCast?Well what does it do?Well, it'll show an ad banner of your own creation to millions of interested visitors from all around the world, and will send them to your profile page, gallery, or prints when they click it. You place an order for a certain number of clicks, and your banner will stay in the rotation until that number is reached.
Spiffy?
Spiffy!

To submit a print or not submit a print - that is the question!
When you come to the end of the deviation submission process you are brought to the print submission area and while many may think they are not given a choice as to whether or not to submit a print, you are.
When you are done submitting the deviation you will be given a choice to do three things:
"View deviation, submit a new deviation, or create a print below."
If you do not want to create a print, then when you reach that page you may choose the view deviation link and this will take you to the deviation without submitting a print.
If you wish to submit another deviation then choose the submit new deviation and of course if you would like to submit the deviation for a print after all, just proceed to the submission process below.
If for some reason you move on and submit a print by filling out all the information, even though you did not want to, please see the following FAQ for information on how to remove your print:
FAQ #827: How do I remove a print without deleting the deviation? For more information on the deviantART Prints Service, please see the FAQ, located at
[link] . And as always should you have any PRINT inquiries, please submit a
Prints Customer Service Ticket as this will ensure the fastest response.
Thank you
