reports, June 5There seems to be an ongoing drama war on dA...over nude photography. Some Deviants seem to think that there is little or no difference between artistic nudes and pornography. I can assure you that there is a monumental difference. The montage of works below should make clear the difference between artistic nudes and everything else.
Artistic nudes are about the study and appreciation of the human body. This means that there is much more to the art than just the physical. Like any other art form, artistic nudes express a wide variety of human emotions, struggles, and experiences in a full variety of human shapes, colors, genders, and personalities. In other words, artistic nudes are not created to promote the society's ideal of beauty.
Some of the following 300+ pieces are understated, others are provoking. It is my hope that in this article you will find art that will illuminate new thoughts and emotions.
Please respect the art and the artist.
We will begin with male nudes, because they are underrepresented on dA and the art world in general.
