Hello there deviantART and all deviants!


Whatever happens to DD Suggestions that don't get featured?


That question has turned into a personal desire to feature the hidden talents among deviantART. Because we put effort into a good DD suggestion, and because we believe the artist deserves the honor, since they put even more effort into their deviation.
Just because the suggestion we send does not get featured for some reason, it doesn't mean we should just forget about it.

Why 'Don't Decline'?

Well, just because a suggestion for a DD you made doesn't get featured as one doesn't mean that you should give up on it
Feature it with me, and let's help it and the artist get more recognition!


So that is the idea behind DD is for Don't Decline!, to bring to you what some of us consider great deviations in need of recognition


You can make a difference! Don't stop trying!
To this day I am the suggester of 36 Daily Deviations!
Take the opportunity to share a deviation you love with the entire community, and give the artist the recognition they are entitled to

Don't you just love images that have a story behind them and simply keep on telling it? In Dragon curse I see a beautiful moment of a fantastic legend. A very inspiring work by ~noobest.

It's not everyday that one gets to come across an animal-shaped fractal! Arachnophilia is a fantastic fractal in which ~The-Serpent-Realm makes use of commonly seen formulas to recreate one of nature's creatures in an appealing and impressive manner. Without a doubt, I'd give it a 10 out of 10!

This is such an awesome vexel image. The shading is perfect, and the subject is captivating. Her expression makes you wonder what she is thinking about. Just the right amount of color to contrast the black and white. Use of space is perfect. This is truly an amazing piece.

Full of intrigue and passion, RunarAdam kidchan+ is a work of art that has a story hidden within, a story the viewer becomes curious about the more they look at it. With a beautiful palette, and excellent use of expressions, *evikted brings forth an elegant and alluring piece.

My son and I both agree that this is one of the creepiest things we've ever seen. By a play of light, it looks like the light is reflecting off the mannequin's eyes, like she is alive, and its smile adds to the disturbing effect. I've always thought dolls were a bit creepy anyway, and mannequins look like corpses on display.

Hardly a fractal at first sight, yet with some undeniable fractal features present, Out of the Box. is certainly a rare creation. ~faded-ink brings forth a mysterious and charming work of art that should not go unnoticed.

I would like to recommend this for a DD. The reason I like it is because the gnarls stand out...pop out of this piece and make you feel like you can touch them. I love the gradient chosen, and the shading is perfect. The background on the image. A very attractive fractal.

I don't usually make DD suggestions for photography, because it's not my specialty. I'm the type of photographer whose pictures are always jiggly with the heads cut off. But Blood, Sweat and Tears moves me and the image haunts me throughout the day, especially since I just got the news that my son is redeploying to Iraq in a couple of months. This photograph reminds us of the human behind the uniform. I can't imagine any mother seeing this without picturing her own child in the same situation.

I've been driven into Filigree on Plastic. There isn't a single line or shape in it that is not well defined. Also, the use of gradient is masterly, from the light background to the sepia tones and the lovely touch of red which together contribute to the extreme elegance of the piece. Composition and balance are perfect.

This photomanipulation is simply hypnotizing. The contrast between light and shadow is astounding, and incredibly alluring. But the main character does not go by unnoticed either! With such beautiful outfit, and her back facing the camera, she adds mystery to the tale this picture has to tell!

Even if I'm certain someone must have alredy suggested Motley by *milleniumsentry, this gorgeous piece of art speks for itself. It's concentrated genius with its sinuous lines, sense of depth and use of gradient, plus a wise textures adding. It's really something that pleases the eye and makes you want more!

The title couldn't be more fitting: Proto Planet by *Bootsbounty really seems a planet forming in a cloud of gas and debris. Comfortably situated in its incubator of semi-obscurity, it starts to shine by the light of its star, together with the gasses encircling it.

Normally, drawings are colored with just flat colors, but this artist makes her deviation far more appealing by using textures and patterns instead! BANG BANG is a cheerful image that attracts the viewer with a warmer, more earthen palette, and a lovely use of pattern work. I'd say it is =MroczniaK's best.

As a fan of the anime series of Inu Yasha, I couldn't help but love this fan art, +Sesshoumaru+. Normally, this character looks more hostile, and sometimes even mad; this romantic depiction, however, unveils his other side, and makes for a gorgeous image. Certainly, *eagiel did a charming work.
