Ladies and gentledudes.

I hereby present to you my latest, and most genious project idea since the invention of the wheel. I call it Black and white June.

The Idea
The idea came to me upon this day, the 6th. I was running errands in town carrying my new and trusty über-oldschool analogue camera, mounted with black and white film. It was, or at the time of writing - is, a bright and sunny summer day. Then darkness clouded my mind, and I suddenly realized that all the oh-so-sunny photos I had been taking would turn out dull and greyscaled. That was when I got the idea to challenge myself, first and foremost.

The Challenge
From this day on, will switch my not-so-oldschool D90 to black and white, and it will remain so until July. Meaning I will have to think just a tiny bit harder to achieve a certain feeling to my photos. The deep blue ocean will not be deep blue any longer, with no yellow sunny reflection in it. With the exception of one single pre-planned photoshoot coming up next week.

I have given myself this set of rules:
- Hold your colour!
- No snapshots
- Post-processing allowed, most likely necessary.
- Get results
- Force myself into creative thinking

Now, there is a certain twist to this, too.

Behold, the Black and White June CONTEST

This is a contest for photographies only. Submit your best black and white shots from June (limited to three - 3 - )

Contest rules follow:
- No colours, damnit.
- All photos must be taken and submitted before the 1st of July.
- Submissions should be sent by NOTE to *Sunsqueaker - that's me.
- A jury of selected personell will pick the winners.
- All submissions will be featured in it's own news article!
- Digital and traditional allowed - as long as it's photography
- NO photomanipulations
- NO Black and white conversions, i.e. no "this-picture-was-all-vivid-and-colourful-but-I-desaturated-it-in-Photoshop"
- Challenge yourself!


So far, I am the only person behind this contest, therefore the jury and the huge selection of prizes will be very much limited till I am joined by several others! Poke me if you want to hit people up with a prize or deem yourself reliable to fit in the jury.
