The Photo Focus Photography Blog takes a look and examines how many of us actually are wasting time with our photography, and how we can cut things down to where we are having more photos that are "keepers"
I love a good portrait! I mean, who doesn't? But my fetish would have to be portraits, and so that's why I've posted up a bunch of my favourites! All different kinds, showing faces, not showing faces, having silent meanings, or just beauty in general. Enjoy!
A collection of inspirational and special selected photos during the last weeks. Being an artist is more then just making artwork, it is about appreciating other peoples wonderful visions. Show them some love
This is unreal, and this openly states the case why US as artists should very well be signing and or watermarking everything we post on the internet. Things like this happen more than you think folks, and the whole world is watching. Think outside the box of deviantART and know that everything that you post can be seen by anyone at anytime, anywhere and at any place at any second. I don't know about you all, but I sure wouldn't want my family photos ending up on a huge advert over seas like this!
My lawyer would be writing a very tersely worded letter.
In the USA, a word in the ear of the right people could result in a lot of publicity and lucrative goodness... "Europeans steal images of wholesome American families". A couple of talk show appearances, and licensing the image legitimately to, so a copying company... and ad execs wet dream come true.
It's also an opportunity for whatever professional associations you have for photographers to get back some ground in terms of the use of images, the copyright rights of photographers, and an opportunity to take a shot at the Terms and Conditions of sites such as Facebook that blatantly igniore artists rights in their hunt for a buck.
Wow, that is pretty crazy to see! I don't think a small singing, or watermark would stop a lot of people (in this case as well). It's easily edited out, and overridden unfortunately.
Creepy. The problem is: A signature on the border of a picture can be removed easily by cropping. And a watermark right in the middle of the image is just ugly in my opinion.

I would have thought the family could take the company using the image to task over it, a question of copyright and also no model release forms (I assume most countries would require them), the company may have hired another firm/individual to do the advertising and accepted the image in good faith, but even them they would have to pass on the details of the person/s who had supplied the image.
DeviantART and the martial arts action film, Ninja Assassin, have teamed up to allow ALL deviants the ability to install Journal Skins! Select an awesome Ninja Assassin skin or choose the skin of your choice.
