Why watermarking/signing YOUR images is important!

reports, June 6This is unreal, and this openly states the case why US as artists should very well be signing and or watermarking everything we post on the internet. Things like this happen more than you think folks, and the whole world is watching. Think outside the box of deviantART and know that everything that you post can be seen by anyone at anytime, anywhere and at any place at any second. I don't know about you all, but I sure wouldn't want my family photos ending up on a huge advert over seas like this!

I am the machine that reveals the world to you, as only I alone am able to see it.
In the USA, a word in the ear of the right people could result in a lot of publicity and lucrative goodness... "Europeans steal images of wholesome American families". A couple of talk show appearances, and licensing the image legitimately to, so a copying company... and ad execs wet dream come true.
It's also an opportunity for whatever professional associations you have for photographers to get back some ground in terms of the use of images, the copyright rights of photographers, and an opportunity to take a shot at the Terms and Conditions of sites such as Facebook that blatantly igniore artists rights in their hunt for a buck.
