#ProjectComment is a project that features the generally obscured and underappreciated artists and their art in regular news articles. Our objective is to recognise deviants who deserve more recognition and to feature deviations with less than 10 original comments.

The 0-5 Comments Issues feature a deviant as well as 3 deviations with less than 5 original comments from a wide selection of art. Please give your time to :+favlove: this article and to write constructive comments so that you make a true difference to the artists featured here.

Iterators: Geeks with love for dA!

`electricnet:iconelectricnet: reports, December 20
After countless hours of drooling over and working with the new group system we’ve all been blessed with here at dA, a lot of awesome people and myself are proud to present a brand new group being about not only several dA-related art categories, but more importantly, a spirit and a love for dA.

Critique for Non-Subscribers; Issue 5

*FullMetalMono:iconFullMetalMono: reports, June 6
Hello again, everyone! Despite exams starting in two days (:noes:), I’m back with another ten Non-Subscribing Deviants for you to help out. My message this week is that, even if you think you're really busy, try to take the time to give feedback to someone! Heck, if I can take time away from study to bring this Issue to you all, I reckon some of you can help out too =D. So, welcome to Critique for Non-Subscribers; Issue 5!

:bulletgreen: Issue 4
:bulletgreen: Issue 3
:bulletgreen: Issue 2
:bulletgreen: Issue 1

What is your task?
The point of this entire project is to get you, subscribers and non-subscribers alike, to use the general comment system to leave some good (thoughtful and in-depth), honest critiques on some of the following pieces (this could be as many as all of them or as few as just one! All that matters is getting great feedback for the overlooked non-subscribers!), or even to just encourage critiquing those who don’t have access to the Critique Feature.

The Features (in no particular order):

:iconiiixii: ~IIIXII

:iconsadist-oldman: ~sadist-oldman

:iconescaped-emotion: ~Escaped-Emotion

:iconniikaza: =niikaza

:iconcacecil: ~CACecil

Why aren’t I offering my services as a critic?
If I were to do that, I would have to limit this to deviants who only do a few select things (for example, photography), because I'm simply not qualified to critique everything that people want feedback on. With this idea, there’s a range of art available to be critiqued and the entire community in which to find someone able to be a critic for other mediums (such as literature, traditional/digital art, and so on).

So, feel free to browse the Features, and if you’re inspired to give some great feedback, please do! And if you’re not sure that you can critique anything from this issue, don’t overlook the previous issues.

This Project will be back next week with another 10 Deviants! If you'd like to be included in an upcoming Issue, feel free to note me (with the subject 'Critique for Non-Subscribers' and including a link/thumbs of two (2) of your deviations you’d like feedback on) or check my journal for links to my current Thumbshare thread.

Please be aware that this is not intended to generate argument for or against the Critique Feature! This is intended to assist the overlooked artists who are as deserving as anyone else to receive comments designed to improve their work.

It would be awesome if you could critique anyone, subscriber or not.

I believe it should not be a paid-for option, where legitimate input can (and should) be posted on anyone's work regardless of subscription. Why comment on any work then?
:iconfullmetalmono:
:) The beauty of it is that you CAN critique anyone, subscriber or not. That's what this project is about. It's about using the methods available to everyone to give this legitimate input. The only reason I'm featuring non-subscribers in particular is because they don't have any other options available to them. That being said, nothing is stopping anyone from giving great help and feedback to even subscribers using the general comment system; that's what I'm trying to do here, is encourage that.

The reason for commenting on work at all is that not everyone wants critique. Some people might not want everything they've done to be scrutinized, which is only fair.

I hope that makes sense, or addresses some of the concerns I feel like you're bringing up.

:iconpolykarb:
I'm not talking about this post/project that you have going. I'm talking about the critique feature in itself.

I understand what this project is about.

I know that not everyone wants constructive criticism, that's their problem.

But it's OK, obviously you misread what I said.

Honestly, i think this is a great little project "Critique for Non-Subscribers". Maybe add more people to the list next time.
