Self-harm, self-injury and self-mutilation is a very common issue in todays world. There are many teenagers in increasing numbers who constantly or have experienced self-harming themselves, and many teenagers who know somebody who does it.

It hurts. We all hurt at some point, and sometimes it is just plain difficult to cope, and usually this is what leads us to self-injury.

It's very difficult, even more so than to deal with the stress and tension, to talk about it. This is why ~WhenTheCutGoesInDeep formed.

They are a small club devoted to supporting the self harmers on deviantART who would like someone to talk to, or just support in general.

The competition is to use any media [literature, photography, visual art] to capture the reason behind self injury, the method behind it, or any clear things as such.

However there will be NO GLORIFYING self harm, and there will also be no actual pictures of self harm. This is against dA terms and will not be tolerated.

There is a desperate need for judges right now, so if you could help, please get in touch with the club.

The winner's entry will be selected as the clubs ID, but hurry all! The cometition will close on July 13th!
