Personally, I love forget-me-nots because they're so delicate (because they're blue too, I suppose, which is my favorite color). I think they're beautiful, and so this news article is a tribute to them to share their beauty.

Forget-me-nots are small, usually blue flowers (smaller than the the fingernail on your last finger) that grow in clusters in the spring. They can also be pink or white, and there are over 50 species of myosotis (the scientific name for forget-me-nots).

The forget-me-not is a symbol of remembrance (which is self-explanatory, considering its name) and is the state flower of Alaska.

Legend has it that in medieval times, a knight and his lady were walking along the side of a river. He picked a posy of flowers, but because of the weight of his armour he fell into the river. As he was drowning he threw the posy to his loved one and shouted "Forget-me-not". This is a flower connected with romance and tragic fate. It was often worn by ladies as a sign of faithfulness and enduring love. Most people use these in weddings for love.
