Legend Revamp
I am sure if you watch my journals (and a few others in the community) you will have heard about the legend revamp currently going on. As the dictionary has come to a standstill until other dA projects are up and running, $
eStunt has kindly offered to donate his time and put some positivity back into the community.
We are looking (on a small scale) to revamp the current emoticon legend. There are a number of emotes on there that need updating and quite a few in the community that really deserve a spot on the legend list. This is now your chance.
We are looking for 10 new emotes and 10 revamped emote for the legend! This means in total 20 new emotes will be available for use. However there are some rules attacted:
- The emotes must be useful within everyday conversation
- The emotes must be small (approx 35x35 pixels)
- The must have transparent backgrounds
- The mustnt be a copyright infringement (No brand names)
- They must not contain personal emote characters
- If possible, they should loop properly and not exit the canvas
- The llama and

emotes can not be replaced
- Character specific emotes (e.g spyed/jark) emotes can not be replaced
The deadline for this is the
21st June. All suggestions must be submitted as comment on
this journalI will look at every suggestion, but wont get a chance to answer every comment. You can browse the suggested new emotes
here and the suggested revamp emotes

Featured Projects
Its kinda saddening to see the number of new projects reducing, but a relief at the same time. None the less, we had another project start this week
Emote Movie Poster
This is an awesome new project hosted by =
elicoronel16. The idea is to create a movie poster staring some of the emotes from around dA. Its set to be a great final project, but is slightly lacking in entries so far, so make sure you go check it out and take part.
Noticeboard
Its been an action packed week for the emote community with several large community events happening. It will be awesome to see some of these new plans in place.
- The new category structure progressed onto stage

- I will hopefully get a chance to summarise the whole category revamp and should be having a meeting some point this week to discuss the changes we would like to see
- After updating a lot of the =
Emotication pages (sorry for the journal spamming) I decided to totally revamp the mentors system. You can read about the new changes

There's always a bright side to life. It's just a matter of not being too colourblind to be able to see it.
