[The following is a true story]My 19-year-old younger sister and I currently live at home with both our parents.
A few weeks ago I was at a restaurant with friends when I suddenly get this call from my Mother absolutely hysterical .
"YOU NEED TO COME HOME RIGHT NOW! YOUR SISTER HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED!!!"
I have never heard her sounding so scared before. So I immediately ask, "What? What do you mean she's been kidnapped? What happened?"
To which my Mother replies, "She left for a movie about an hour ago and she just sent me a text message. In the text message she says that she's going to a different movie, that she'll be gone for 8 HOURS, and that 'I shouldn't worry.' It's already 7pm at night! There is no movie playing or even any stores open 8 hours from now! And the text sounded strange, like it wasn't really her typing it! I've been trying to call her but the phone just goes dead!"
So I go, "...That does sound really weird. I'll be home right away, but don't go calling the police until I can figure out what's going on."
Well, I arrive home as fast as possible, only to find my Mom fully panicked at this point. She quickly gives me the cellphone, close to tears, and shouts, "SEE! SHE SAYS SHE'S GOING TO BE HOME IN 8 HOURS AND THAT I SHOULDN'T WORRY!"
I look at the text message my sister sent to my Mom and it reads...
"Mom. Seeing another movie. Be home l8tr. Don't worry."
...End. (lol)
