ART AGAINST HATRED AND VIOLENCE

Hatred, violence... Those are such ugly words, aren't they?
I recently had to face some hate art here on DeviantArt, and I was telling myself: what about art against hatred in the whole world? After all, art is such an important form of expression. It has such an impact on people.

Hatred and violence are all over the world. We are so used to see it everywhere we go.

This is why I organize this contest: I'd like to see your vision as artist. I'd like to see your art against hatred and violence, against all these killings, genocides and tortures.
Even though this is not going to fight hatred and violence in the world, even though we are not going to change things in one day, one month or one year, we can make ART, we can condemn violence and spread the word of PEACE with our minds, our heart and our souls.

So, let's make this whole World more shiny and beautiful, let's vote for peace, spread the word, and enter the Art Against Hatred and Violence contest!

RULES

1) Any type of media is allowed: traditional art, digital art, photography, photomanipulation, poem, sculpture, CSS, stamps, emoticons, etc…

2) One entry maximum per deviant.

3) Your entry must be new and must be made exclusively for this contest and made after the beginning of this contest: APRIL 8th 2009.

4) You must add the link to this journal in your deviation’s description.

5) This is an art contest against hatred and violence of any forms. You can do something against hatred and violence in general or you can also focus on something in particular.

6) Be careful: do not make “Hate against Hatred” deviation. We don’t promote hate in this contest. We don’t fight violence with violence. Any deviation of this type won’t be accepted. No explicit porn either.

7) Your entry must fit the theme. It would be great if you would give your point of view about the contest theme in your description.

8) Your entry must respect copyrights laws, DA policies, credits agreements (if you use resources yours or not you SHOULD list where they come from even if they are yours to avoid confusion).

To enter the contest, you must send a note with a link or thumblink to your deviation.
