reports, September 16, 2002MTV (Music Television?) Well..we all know that is a contradiction and they no longer play music for the most part. Take a stand....take part in the online drive to boycott MTV. Once again MTV has seen fit to decide what it's viewers are "allowed" to see and what they can see.
From the online Petition:
"MTV has chosen to prohibit Chuck D and Public Enemy from showing a Video because a political activist such as Mumia is shown briefly. I say to MTV, how HYPOCRITICAL! MTV continues to show videos that reek of lewd sexual nature and discussion of violence, drugs, violence against women, in particular Black Women. MTV played, "Because I got high" over and over again. I guess that song stayed in rotation because of the marketing techniques of MTV."
