I am currently in the process of writing a book and would like to have a nice collection of artwork to go along with the story. As it stands, I am hoping to self-publish as well as create a web site for the series.

The intention of this contest is to find a serious, talented, and reliable artist who would be interested in working out an agreement to do all of the official artwork for the series. The contract would state that I would have exclusive rights to use of the work done for the series in exchange for the agreed compensation plus a percentage of any profits from books and merchandise sold. Full credit for all work would go to the artist, plus the artist would be free to showcase their other work on the website if they choose.(via their own page on the site)

I will provide detailed descriptions and reference pictures for the five main characters from the first book. Each description contains an example of an outfit the character would wear, but it is not necessary to use that specific outfit. Entries should be in color and portray one or more characters from the list. Backgrounds can be as simple or complex as you choose. Future pictures would require characters, backgrounds, and assorted strange creatures that the main characters fight.

Reference pictures can be found in this Phobucket album. Please note that I did not make these pictures. I found them on Photobucket and am only using them to reference the hairstyles required for my characters. They are NOT mine.
