Flash Fiction Month is pleased to announce the opening of its very own chat, named -- ironically enough -- #FlashFictionMonth.

This is the place to be throughout Flash Fiction Month (July 1 to 31). Our friendly staff will provide prompts and organise writing exercises. Participants, please feel free to ask Staff or Prompt Assistants to promote you to "Writers", when you visit!

Please note: works pasted in this channel WILL be considered open for comment/mild critique (as we all know these are only first drafts, crit need not be thorough at all). As such, hissy fits will not be looked upon kindly-- if you don't want commentary or can't bear any crit whatsover, don't post your work. Nor will Staff put up with rudeness of any kind, from anyone-- this a community-friendly chat!

Also: #FlashFictionMonth is primarily a writing/workshop room. Therefore, non-literary chatter should be kept to a minimum or, even better, done elsewhere.

Chat will be open from now until August 1, though events won't kick off properly until July 1st. Drop by to meet Staff and other participants prior to the event!

Volunteers for Staff positions can apply by note to ~Flash-Fic-Month. There's four places left: 3 for ' Prompt Assistants' and 1 for General Channel Staff .
