The *tolkien group is the largest dA community concerning JRR Tolkien, professor, linguist, and author well-known for his books concerning Middle-earth. Created in December 2004, *tolkien now has nearly 1300 members spanning 74 countries around the world. As we approach our 1000th deviation in the club gallery (with each piece posted with permission from the original artist), moderators *october20 and *AinuLaire went through the extensive gallery to put some pieces up to display.

Each thumbnail links to the original artist, so fave all you want. You will find that the *tolkien gallery is very extensive. Deviations include traditional and digital paintings and drawings, photography, photo-manipulations, literature, artisan crafts, 3D and fractal art, text art, cartoons, comics, and even emoticons all inspired by Professor Tolkien's wonderful works.
