Im here to invite everyone who ever has something hateful to say in this site to instead openly and calmly talk their problems in a civil manner, i come to DA for the Art, not for the rants and flames.

Im writing this as a result of recent events that are close to me and has been making a lot of buzz. Flames, hate news and all kinds of ranting have been flung around and it is not the first time i've seen it, it really bothers me seeing so much hate around.

Im not going to use names or user names here, because i believe what i am going to say applies to all manners of problems in this site. Still, if you are reading this, you already know what recent event made me write this.

---Rage against the administration!---

So many times i have seen people insult the administration of DA, it is so easy to say "The mods are stupid and fearful and over reacting divas who hate liberty" when pictures are deleted and people is banned. I've seen people banned for unfair reasons as well as pictures get deleted for reasons that didn't fit, yet, i also have seen the mods right their own wrongs and correct this unfairness, yet people still bitch. I actually pity the mods, they just can't win, no matter what they do.

People need to understand: Bans and deletions happen because ANYBODY in DA can REPORT ANYTHING. Thus, sometime people who don't quite grasp what TRULY deserves to be deleted/banned report away stuff that, in fact, isn't deserving of punishment, yet the mods carry on with the punishment and the punished deviant and his people bitch.But then, there is the times when the mods and administration realize the mistake and lift the punishment causing the reporting people and like minded folk to rage all over.

The first step towards improving the community in DA is to STOP FLAMMING THE ADMINISTRATION EVERY TIME YOU FEEL WRONGED.

Sarcastic posts, flames and rants toward the administration DO NOTHING TO HELP YOU. This course of action is just YOU, the flamer, looking for INSTANT GRATIFICATION from like minded people. In fact it HURTS YOU, because it weakens your image in the eyes of the administration and the people who seek to resolve things in a civil way.

Raging over the internet is a common thing, but you know what it also is? USELESS.

You got a problem with the administration? Don't Flame, but send a polie E-mail expressing your concerns, that has so much more chance to make a difference than "masturbatory ranting over your journal".


---Rage against people you don't like!---

I've been in lots of big fights in DA. I've defended my friends many times. I was once in thorn by a misunderstanding between two great artists and friends i respect immensely and the problem always is this: The opposing parties don't know a damn thing about the people they oppose.

This is why we should open the communication channels, because people wouldn't be angry if they talked to each others and get to know better.
You gotta get to know the real person you oppose, not THE IMAGINARY EVIL VERSION YOU ENVISION THAT PERSON AS.

Again, not going to drag names into this, but i was talking with a very good buddy of mine and he showed me some flames he got. You know what he told me? it was this:

"It's too bad that deviant hates me, it's a very talented artist, there are so many things we could talk about and share, but this person is wasting his tame in ranting about me while im making pictures".

And it's true! i defend my friends for one reason: if the people who hates them would only get to know them as i do, they wouldn't hate them so much, they would understand that their problems with these people are just A SMALL PART OF WHO THE PERSON IS and would understand that, while there are thing they won't agree on, they're not the evil person one makes them out to be.

This is why i propose, instead of flamming that person's page, instead of raging on your journal, instead of making hateful news posts, you need to calm down and just talk your concerns with that person calmly, get to know that person and resolve everything in a civil manner and privately. Please do your part and keep Drama out of DA.
