Helpful Tutorials/Resources

To make it short and easy: please take a look at my "Tutorial Collection". You can find it here. These guides should help you to get started with space art. Some of them are for beginners, some for advanced artists. We are constantly on the hunt for new tutorials and if you have any suggestions and links to helpful tutorials, please note ^taenaron or ^gucken.

Terra Insomnia by ~Pr3t3nd3r The high quality ring combined with a nice detailed planet and background make this simple scene looking extraordinary. I really love the feeling the image gives off!


The Sixth Extinction by =synax444
Suggester said:"Great use of colors and another extremely nice example of how should a fractal nebula look like. The misterious creature looks creepy and somehow awesome." I have to second that: there are only a few deviants who are able to creat such awesome nebulae by using fractals.

I really love the effort he put into the nebula and starfield, which both are very convincing. Keep an eye on this fast developing artist!

Mining Colony by ~Andr-Sar is full with details which makes it absolutely breathtaking! This HUGE father of all asteroids combined with the well painted background makes the piece inspirational for every space artist out there. The rest of this artist's gallery is as good as this piece! Everyone should check him out!
