The (in)famous *TazzyDee and I have teamed up to bring you a new Artist's Challenge. You can see submissions to previous Artist's Challenges here: [link] and here: [link]

We're both very excited to be working together to bring a challenge to all the fantastically talanted deviants in this community!

AC3: Last Night on Earth

The Scenario:
Imagine that, for whatever reason, this is the very last night you will be spending on the planet earth.

We want you to reach outside the box here and imagine any number of reasons this could be your last night on the planet. Maybe you're dying tomorrow, maybe aliens are coming to abduct you. The reasons are up to you!

The Challenge:
Tell us about it. What do you do? Who do you see? Where are you going? Is anyone coming with? How do you feel about leaving the planet? Is there anything you need to say to anyone in particular? Something you need to take back?

Use any medium at all to answer any combination of the questions above, plus your own. Show us your interpretation of this scenario.

The Rules

I'd like to stress first that this is just a challenge not a contest. There are no official prizes beyond journal features and comments on your work. However, it is a great lot of fun and a good way to exercise your brain and that should be prize enough, yeah?

The challenge officially opens on Monday, July 6th. Anyone wishing to submit to the challenge may send a thumb via note to either *TazzyDee or myself with the title "Challenge Submission" in the heading.

Submissions must be sent via note. Any comment submissions will be ignored. It is just too difficult to keep track of them all when they're sent by comment.

All submission will be collected in a folder in my favorites: [link] as well as one in *TazzyDee's favorites. At the end of the challenge, we will both feature all the entries in our journals along with a news article.

The challenge closes on September 1st. That gives you about two months to come up with something fantastic for us to oggle!
