The
April Showers, May Flowers contest focused on revision, turning dreary poems into polished works of art. We asked you to pick any poem youve submitted to dA before April 30, polish it up, and submit it as a new deviation.
Judges and Scoring:^

LadyLincoln, ^
SparrowSong, and ^
StJoan judged the pieces based on the amount of improvement, as well as by the quality of the finished piece. Scoring was done on a points system. Each of the four judges chose a first, second, and third place winner. Each choice for first received three points, each choice for second received two, and each choice for third place received one point. The piece that received the most points came first, the piece that received the second highest came second, and the piece with the third highest came third.
We had 16 participants altogether. Judging was difficult, and close.
