Some Frog Facts
There are 5,576 Anurans(Frogs and Toads)species in the world.

Why Are Frogs Important?
Frogs are bio-indicators! They are the first to know changes in the environment. This can help us predict events so we can be prepared for them.

Help out with medicines and pharmaceutical needs. Maybe a cure for cancer!!

Important part of the food change. They eat those annoying bugs and they feed other animals like snakes and eagles...you get the picture.

And over all they're just cute!
What is Happening to the Frogs? Currently a global disease is hitting the Frogs and other amphibians pretty hard. The disease is a fungus called Cytrid. The fungus travels though the water. It embeds itself in the frogs skin. The frog reacts to this as a sickness and it's immune system kicks in. The immune system thickens the frogs skin making so the frog can no longer breath through it's skin and the frog suffocates. Their is no real treatment to kill of this fungus only if you catch the frog and place it in fungicide...and even then it is not guaranteed that the frog will live. So you can see how serious this is.
On top of that there is the pet trade, food trade, deforestation, and pollution.
