Greetings fellow deviants from around the globe.
I would like to inform you as you've probably already heard once before
a site called " Etsy.com " is a venue for sellers to sell their handmade products.
BUT , the "handmade products" are not made by the sellers, they're made by YOU!
I've had my artwork stolen , and it's being sold on there for anyone to buy and use freely at their own will. the seller is gaining profit for my work and works of others and we're not!
here is a link where you can find my stolen piece along with 41 other artists stolen work
[link]have a look around , you may even find something that belongs to you!
if you know any of the other artists on this thiefs spreadsheet listed in that link , please CONTACT THE ARTIST! let them know their work has been stolen!
we need to band together as artists and TAKE DOWN THESE THIEVES!
I contacted the Etsy page , letting them know my work had been stolen and requested that it be taken down , and this is what I got for a reply-
Hi there,
You recently contacted Etsy.com ("Etsy") regarding an intellectual property issue with one of the users of Etsy's service. Please note that Etsy is a venue to buy and sell all things handmade.
Etsy takes intellectual property rights seriously. Please provide Etsy with notice, pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and Etsy's Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy (the "Policy" ).
The Policy and the notice requirements are found at: [link]
It's probably easiest to cut and paste the SIX (6) notice requirements and then after each requirement provide the information necessary to fulfill each requirement. The first notice requirement is a physical signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright or intellectual property right that has been allegedly infringed upon (by fax or regular mail; not by email, except by prior agreement). Once we receive proper notice, Etsy will comply with our policy.
You can also contact the other party via Etsy's "Convo" feature. To "Convo" a member, first login to Etsy (the login button is found in top right hand corner). To create an Etsy account, you only need a username, a valid email address, and a password. Once you've logged in, go to [link]. Once you're in the user's Etsy page, scroll down to "user info" (found on the right hand side) and click on the CONTACT link. Sometimes a matter is better resolved between the parties. However, as I stated above, Etsy will comply with our Policy when given proper notice.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
Thanks,
Etsywith that all said and done , this is my first ever news article, so I'm not sure if I'm placing this in the right place , and I'm asking .. can anyone help me with this ?
Thank you for your time , understanding , and help.
Kind regards;
Jodi

Its not a joke
Ive felt as messed up as you do
Ive felt the feelings youve been feeling
Been through the same things
Youve been through
And I know how hard it is
To feel like youre alone
Weve all been given a second chance
But the chance is all our own
I was worried it wasn't good, but I thought it was well written and informative.
one of the other artists that had their stuff stolen too I had contacted and the
user is 'no longer an active member' ... so hopefully that means that'll be the
last we hear of them , but I'm sure there will be others.
and I think I will still look at Etsy and see if there are any other works on there
that I recognize and able to inform the artists.

of people know what to do to solve the problem
and then you have the thieves that think it's
" OK " to just take other peoples work , and
claim profits for it which is so utterly wrong
