This was supposed to be out a little earlier in the week, but now it's Friday, and everyone likes Fridays, so I thought I might as well release it today.

The summer is in full blast on the northern hemisphere, and even though it's really rainy over here in Sweden, I know a lot of you are probably soaking up the rays as we speak, but I appreciate that you take the time to stay around for this newest issue of Chance to Shine. I hope you enjoy it!

Featured Emoticonists

And without further ado, here are this weeks features!


₁₎ - =FlanChan

This is Amy. A devious lass from the United States that has been with us here in the community for a little more than a year now, but according to herself, she had been lurking the site for about a year before actually joining. She obviously likes flan.


- The Many Faces of a Tard

This deviation captures extremely well a broad range of emotions when it comes to our beloved tard-motes. One could only wish that this was an emoticon pack rather than just a static image, I'm sure a lot of people would want to use this on messenger services and things as such.


- Don't Blink

Here's one of those nightmare-ish scenarios, perfectly captured in emoticon format. Have you ever seen that YouTube video with the Ninja Cat? Well, if you ask me, it's really creepy. And this emoticon works on the very same level.


- Oh u, No u

This one's pretty straight forward. Emoticon versions of the ever so useful NO U meme. and captured with great emoticon expressions that really go well with the expressions.


₂₎ - ~Wooded-Wolf

Here's a lad from the United Kingdom who has been with us for about 2 years now. Whilst also making a lot of non-emoticon related things on DA that you really ought to give a look, he has a nice selection of emoticons in his gallery. Everyone should be able to find something they like in there.


- Explodicon F.N. Revamp

Now here's something you don't see too often. A revamp of an emoticon that the author originally got a DD for. The animation in this revamp looks really great, and it is a superb improvement on an already great emoticon in the first place.


- Emoticon Heights Project

Here's something a bit irregular as well. I have yet to feature a project, but this one is really a quite interesting one. A simple concept, every entry gets a room to fill, and it is perfectly executed. This is one of the most interesting emoticon projects currently on DA, if you ask me.


- I'm on the toilet

And the final feature is a rather simple but very useful one. We all need to go to the bathroom sometimes, and this one captures the sensation of doing your business in a very useful and perfectly censored way, cause a lot of us enjoy reading whilst on the toilet.

Last for this issue, we have another lad from the United Kingdom, this one having been with us for about a year. He identifies himself as a programmer, and he has a lot of nice CSS skins in his gallery. Whilst not having a huge selection of emoticons to chose from, there were enough to earn him a spot here.


- Painting the Town Pink

Lets start off with my favorite from his gallery. I'm sure you've heard the expression paint the town red, but here's a nice little emoticon twist on the whole thing. A very literal one.


- :externaldoor:

Ever get that feeling that some thing's waiting for you in the dark? Take my advice: You're better off staying indoors. Especially when there are two glowing red eyes starting at you from the darkness!


- Lemme Paint - For MetroDriver

Here's another emote with the theme of painting things pink. And the blue emote in the tank obviously doesn't like it. A simple animation combined with a cute and funny theme makes this one an excellent emoticon.
