Brainchild Concepts



What it is:
Brainchild Concepts is an idea that a group of talented “creatives” can unite by pooling they’re collective talents and producing material which is creative and entertaining. There are several projects which are already in production under the Brainchild Concepts banner. These include:

1) Ye gawds
A comic which takes three mythical deities from three different pantheons and throws them together on a planet at the end of the Universe! The characters are Thor, Hercules, and Morrigan. This unlikely trio of mighty mythics find themselves thrust into an uneasy alliance where they must learn to work together in order to survive on this alien world! Of course, the fact that they are so different is what lends itself to the comedic element!



2) Malum Fabula
This is a horror magazine which is a throw back to the “EERIE magazine” (among others) of the 1970’s. The layout style of this magazine is to have a full color cover and feature horror stories which are illustrated in noir style. Everything between the covers is black and white. Each magazine will be a collection of stories which are one to fifteen pages in length.



3) Asgard Chronicles
A comic about the Norse legend of the Fenris wolf, Ragnarok, and the lengths that some of the gods will go in order to forestall the prophesied event of they’re doom!

The opportunity:
We are looking for a select few creative individuals who would like to become a part of our team! The select candidates should be aware that due to the nature of this new endeavor there is no monetary compensation at this time, however there will be opportunities for profit sharing as the projects audience grows. The creative professional would become involved because he/she has a love for the project(s), and they will also be able to use this opportunity to aid in building they’re professional portfolio. This is a perfect opportunity for art students, or the amateur artist who is looking to build a professional body of work.

Positions:
Artist 3 positions open.
Requirements: Possess the ability to work under direction to produce professional quality illustrations, character development, comic panel pages. Must be able to visualize idea and be able to convey idea to the viewer through the use of line, volume, and perspective. Should have a strong sense of personal artistic style.

Colorist 2 positions open.
Requirements: Strong ability to take line drawings/illustrations and apply color. Must be able to work quickly and descively with direction. Strong sense of color theory.

Community Relations and promotions 1 position open
Requirements: Enthusiastic individual who can light up a room either in real life or in the virtual world with a smile and beaming personality! This person should be able to devote the time to the advertisement of the Brainchild Concepts brand through the use of websites, social sites, and etc. This person should be able to work with existing staff in order to plan advertisement campagns and social events such as interviews, news articles, and press releases.

Coder 1 position open
Requirements: Understand that you may not be needed for two weeks, and then suddenly we may have a handful of updates or a completely new thing we want to add. You should be able to build in HTML, or PHP. You should also be proficient at Flash. Have a reliable internet connection, and an ability to translate graphics into a functioning page.
